[FANART] :  Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu

Ferris is such a pretty boy, and he speaks in Nya’s :3 (fangirl mode off)

This is really rushed but I am planning on doing more (and better) fanart of Re:Zero!

Ferris is absolutely loyal to Crusch ( a kandidate for the royal election) and will do anything she says, however he will oppose her if needed. He also enjoys teasing other people, especially those that are surprised that he's male, using cutesy language and gestures to agitate them.

So if you’re looking for an Anime worth watching this season I’d totally recommend Re:Zero it has surprised me in many ways...

I finally bought myself a new graphic - tablet. 

And while it won’t magically make me a better artist, I do like it as it’s worth the upgrade.

I am now using the Intuos draw (the smallest version though) from Wacom.

I haven’t uploaded stuff for a while so here are some sketches, I do like some of the stylistic choices but I am still going to work on becoming more semi - relistic.  

Done on Paper, from my sketchbook  ( I think 120g/m²) with a 0,5 mechanical HB pen.

I am struggeling with eyes and styles as always...

I am trying to get more used to the “process”. 

This is the roughest level of sketching, that I (still) feel comfortable sketching out... done one 1 Layer tfw you cant undo so easily ..... One could say I dont really change my style, but I honestly try to.... It is super difficult for me though, but as I progress ( I hope so ), I will be able to see things differently. This journey will never end that's why theres no need to rush but I cant slack off as well...

I’m messing around with colors in Photoshop, this is something I barely do. 

Another sketchdump ?? This isn’t very  much, but I wanted to do at least something before procrastinating again.

Some more sketches: This time I tried implementing some colours and shades, but I am pretty much a total newb on that matter.....

I am back with some rough sketches ! 

I’m not trying to polish anything, as you can see everything is still really messy and I need to work harder on my perception of form and anatomy in 3D space.

When trying to fix things makes it worse......

I’ve had this on my PC for such a long time now.

 I couldn’t finish it no matter how much I tried to fix things.

Basically it still is really unrefined, and (too) many hours went into the hair of the second character I just can’t figure it out.....

est. time: more than 8 hours because I have been polishing something that can’t shine in the first place......

I just felt like answering my own questions that I had since I began to draw...

I wanted to design stuff as well but I am no creative person by any means and I am not good with clothing anyways :P

time : roughly an hour for the sketch ( I suck big time with sketching digitally ) + 2 more hours for the rest.

The mirror person

What does it mean, being yourself? Doing the things you like? Behaving the way you want? I never experienced things like that,because I’m a mirror person. If i meat someone, I automatically take over their nature, copy their behaviour, like what they like. Why? Don’t ask me. Honestly, I have no clue. I’ve done this since I was a child. If I Talk to someone,I feel this little tingle on my skin, and immediately, I feel their feelings. This lasts, until I talk to someone else. Many people dislike me because in me, they see themselves with all their negative properties and habits. On the bright side, I know when someone is fake. The “no, really, I’m fine ”’s and the self-esteem faker’s. The “you’re my best friend, but I’ll talk mean about you”’s. I’ve experienced them so often, I can’t Even count that high. Sometimes, when I am a depressed person, I wonder, what’ s the sense behind all this. Is it a punishment for something I’ve done in a past life? And how am I supposed to ever find someone who truly likes me, even if my nature changes all the time? I was certain, that I didn’t have a self, which belonged to me ,and only to me. That was before I met her.

Bears simply one of the best animals ever.

--> I´ve never really drawn bears before, so I allowed myself to use reference.

When drawing you naturally develop a style, and I feel like I havent found any yet.

I mean, I can´t do anime style becaus I´ve never been really into it.

And I want to go for semi - realism but it´s hard for me to change xD seriously I dont like change. maybe you´ve already realized.

Look at artists, their art/work can tell you a lot about them actually . Does the artist draw all kinds of stuff or just one thing, does the artist like to mix things up or does he only draw stuff he feels comfortable drawing? Art is a good form of freedom but someone like me likes to stay in a small box where I dont have to look outside. And that is something I want to change.

That´s the reason some artist dont want to be watched while they´re drawing, it´s like they dont want you to know about them that easily, see it´s almost like a diary.

I was bored....

Finally done with coloring, I was actually surprised that I can do some really basic coloring too.

I hardly color stuff so, this was good practice!

coloring process took like + 2 - 3 hours. Also Taiga is best tsundere 99% tsun tsun 1% dere)

- I am not really comfortable drawing anime/manga style and honestly this took a lot of hours to “draw” ( FYI: I spent at least 5 hours on this..... zZZ way too long and after 29 layers in photoshop I was somewhat happy with this... I went many “extra miles” to correct my proportions that arent in any ways good, and then the pose used to look really awkward (I didnt use reference for the pose though)....

- well It´s a small step to a better artstyle and it was worth the effort.

Proportions is one thing I really havent spent much time with... I just noticed how important it is and how little I know ( not to say I know much about art in generall ).
