I am just some guy who likes to draw. about me: I like bears ! all kinds of them. ..not much to say though :P SPECIAL ABILITIES: (That's the part where I convince you that I get the job done :P) - I can cook 5 minute instant noodles in just 4:58. - I can communicate with cats on occasion and have a grumpy staring contest with them. So what are you waiting for just hire me already :P ( well I am just starting out and I got plenty of time to improve) Dislikes: people who do not eat the pizza crust :D "If you do not eat that pizza crust, you are weak and natural selection is coming for you!") Some recent sketchbook pages... Still not very productive. Still trying to not let things get in the way of my productivity...
Some recent sketches
sketchbook pages ( not in order)
I have finally arrived at my 8th sketchbook, this time I will take art more seriously, I only have so much time and wasting it, thinking I cannot achieve anything is pure poison to my productivity....
finally more pose sketching…
I think I am “plateauing” , I used to improve a lot faster back then ( duh!) Correction from future me: “you’re not improving because you aren’t working as hard as you used to, also your passion has seen better days. Stop complaining you know what to do, you just don’t want to accept it”.
[Not a finished or polished artpiece...]
Welp... clothing, and especially its folds are very difficult to convey on a two-dimensional canvas, doesnt matter if its on paper or digital. Also I tried to emulate a style that I find interesting... As you can see, for someone who draws from imagination 89% of the times I am still very bad, like I haven't built a good visual library yet, and I am not creative at all..
Some recent sketches in my sketchbook. While digital is a very forgiving medium (control + z my life pls) I still favour traditional sketching, and recently now also the 0,5 mm ink pen.
I should really keep up with practicing and getting ideas out using my sketchbook. The solution is simple, to start doing it a bit more difficult, but the most challenging part is too keep at it…
I dont particularly like this style.
maybe it’s because this is just a lazy sketch..
Drawing something again....Not only was I slacking off with digital art, but my sketchbook progress is poor...
A little sketch I did, I think the pose is a bit sloppy, but I wasnt going for anything finished or refined.
I still need to focus( a lot ) more on anatomy and proportions...
Do you know that feeling, when another persons’ pain hurts you more than your own ?
When you take bits of their personality, without noticing it and make it your own…
Do you reflect the other person, or does it reflect yourself?
-Of what you want to become or be like ? Surely you dont just do it to “fit in” or just to appeal to someone.
Maybe it is because you want to be more like that person to feel “close”…
What even is closeness? When do you consider someone close.. and why don’t you let anyone get “too close”.
I propably can’t tell you with certainty what kind of person I am, but all I can say is that I know what or who I want to become.
Messy lines and colours...
I tried to get down the pose as fast as possible while making it look a bit interesting... (still took a lot of time tho..) (character: Shinobu from Bakemonogatari)
(character: Hinata Shouyou from Haikyuu)
(I rushed this)
Fanart of this cinnamon roll....
I am still having a hard time drawing the right expressions...
I have arrived at my 7th. sketchbook… when I began taking art more seriously I was thinking that by the end of my second year doing it, I could easily fill up 10 sketchbooks…. and well while that surely is doable.. I was slacking off from time to time… ( A lot actually)
with just 6 complete sketchbooks I am not even close to approaching the worktime of a professional artist… But I hope that I will pull through. There is no need to give up because I haven’t lost yet.
Staying up late…. (Christmas vacation is coming to an end… and my sleeping rythm is so broken….. )
(this is practice on some perspective)
feat. this one character that I haven’t named yet…
Character design #1
He could become part of something.... I haven’t yet figured out...
# inconsistencies because I can't decide/figure out (on) my style.....
some sketches on poses (with an eye on basic perspective.)
I didnt use photo reference, because I never seem to find the right pose, I used a mirror instead and I have noticed what the limitations of just how far one can bend their arms back is, thus I was able to spot some major anatomy mistakes (ofc logical ones as well).
There are still a lot of mistakes that I don’t know how to fix, and I always have the feeling something is slightly off or just off...
But figuring things out myself really helps, because It kind of becomes muscle - memory at that point.
Have you ever considered drawing animals?
Yes, but I need to git gud on humans first.
(This is just an idea, not a finished work by any means, thus it took a bit more than an hour.) [ re: I have just fixed some things…]
Autumn is my favourite season, it’s not too warm, but the colors that is known for this season sure are!
the warm colors of the leaves in contrast to the rather cold weather and sometimes gray sky, it never fails to catch my sight.
I tried some basic composition, well eye - balled it more or less.. I can spot a major perspective mistake now… Ugh this is quite weak of me. I took way too long to notice it…
firepaw: *tries*
firepaw: *wants to draw a guy*
- because you know... I have been drawing the same things over and over again, so that it has become quite boring..
-- makes it too feminine
-- after approximatly 7297 seconds finally! ... it looks recognizable...
firepaw: *goes back into critique mode*
- rip in resting pieces
A webcomic series that caught my attention… heueheu shipping this too much…*insert nosebleed* -jk

I like the artstyle of this artist, you can read it here ( It is quite fast paced tho so be warned..)

I am collecting ideas... pretty sure I can use it for other projects as well. hmm If I ever were to draw and write a short webcomic what would it be like ???
Ferris from RE:ZERO I DID IT!
SURELY and easily one of the pieces that took me forever.....
I can't recall how long this took, but 12+ hours wouldnt be too far away.... He is the best Nekotrap and no one is going to convince me otherwise..
[NEW STYLE ? ] I didn’t want any outlines to show up, which made this drawing very difficult as my only tool to seperate everything from each other is colour.
--> I am trying out a painterly - ish rendering style that I saw in a tutorial... guess this “trial” took longer than estimated.....
but it was worth it, I certainly lack a lot of anatomy skills and my perception isn’t at the level where I want it to be, but I am even more fired up to work on it!
If you like him as much as I do, I also made this a wallpaper ^^ : https://www.dropbox.com/s/pvqdwo2yxkpx705/ferris%20wallpaper.jpg?dl=0 enjoy
[Fanart] : It’s Ferris from Rezero again...
I just can’t he too cute, stahp why.. (ehm yeh....nevermind me)
I plan to color this or at least refine my rough lineart .
Did you know that the first thing you are most likely to forget about someone is their voice .
Try recalling someone’s voice that you haven’t seen for a long time, chances are you really don’t know for sure anymore how they sounded like.
right.. I wanted to draw a pose like this for a while now, and yeah I do lack a lot of practice and knowledge but I’ll get there….
I need to focus on figures and poses more, as it has been obvious that I lack a lot of knowledge and practice of the things I want to draw.
