I could write an entire essay on how Namor was NOT manipulating Shuri but I don’t wanna. Tbh how you interpret that scene of Shuri down in Talokan is whatever. you could take it as shuri being manipulated or wtv. I don’t.
Makes no sense to me why he would manipulate her when all he wanted was for his people to be protected. Him being genuine and that kindness he has isn’t him manipulating her.
Especially when this man says to his people write before they attack Wakanda “I was blinded with the hopes of an alliance” yeah i don’t believe it for a second.
Y’all, antagonists can be kind at first. But like I said however you decide to interpret that scene is your headcanon and this is mine.
