I recently re-watched both SpiderVerse Movies and it gave me the urge to draw my Spidersona again

After Spider 42 was brought into Miles Universe, something strange happened to Rey. She suddenly found herself in a different Universe. Rey happens to gain the ability to travel through the Web of Live and Destiny, because of the circumstance that Earth 1610B Morales was bitten by the radioactive spider. This is also the reason why Rey doesn´t glitch in other universes. The only times she does is before and shortly after she has teleported.

A note on the music of Spiderverse

Cool detail about this movie that I haven’t seen anyone else point out yet: Blonde Peter (RIPeter), Peter B. Parker, and Miles all have a very similar theme (the same melody, basically!) that varies in key details; mirroring their similarities and differences as a characters.

RIPeter has a very dramatic, modern-y theme. There are french horns and heavy drums and it sounds like it was made to be listened to in a cinema with some high-quality surround sound. It’s super heroic and also goes really hard, making it feel like a very action-packed theme, which fits his character. He’s in his prime, he’s in action. The track’s name is “The Amazing Spider-Man”, reflecting how he completely owns that title. He’s the perfect spiderman, as presented in the movie.

Peter B. Parker has a pretty darn similar theme to RIPeter, but there are differences. The drums and bass music isn’t as forceful, it sounds a little more tune-ful and a little more whimsical. It sounds like it’d be more at home in something like the OG spiderman trilogy than a modern action movie - which, of course, reflects both Peter B.’s age and experience, AND the fact that he’s very much based on that Tobey Maguire spiderman. His song is called “My Name is Peter B. Parker” - he’s not as embroiled in his identity as spiderman as RIPeter is (was), he’s more old and more tired and it plays as such. ALSO - his little melody is actually longer than the other two, also indicating his age.

Miles’ theme probably stand out the most, having that same tune but presenting it very differently. The track is a mix of hip-hop and orchestra, there’s a disk scratch at the beginning, it’s very clearly a different “style” from the other two, more traditional theme tunes. It’s tempo is slightly faster. It has some of the force of RIPeter’s, though not as much, but what’s so key about it is it’s ENERGY. The music is poppy, it inclines you to bop your head up and down to it as you listen. RIPeter’s theme makes you want to sit back and watch the explosions, Peter B’s theme makes you nostalgic for old times of super-heroing - Miles’ theme makes you want to get up and fight alongside him. HIS track is called “Miles Morales returns”, reflecting how he maybe doesn’t see himself as Spiderman yet, but he’s coming back (after being forced to stay behind by the others) and he’s going to do the best he can to live up to that mantle. It’s perfect.

(A final point; RIPeter’s variation and Miles’ variation literally play when they do the same move on the collider, just adding to that comparison between the two.

Anyways, this move and its score are both so far beyond phenomenal it’s unreal.

Anyways obviously the only correct way to have Deadpool in the spiderverse is if there's just one Deadpool. And he keeps ending up in different universes causing shenanigans but it's always the same Deadpool. He switches art styles/appearance depending on universe. The go-home machine can't figure out if he even has a home universe. (Believe me Miguel has tried.) He hits on most age-appropriate spideys and then hits on their MJs too. Villains in most universes seem to inexplicably know him, or at least know of him. He keeps getting kicked out of HQ. He's 100% aware that all this logic only works because it's an epic crossover and the writers wanted it that way.

How people are treating Hobie Brown, and British punks / people as a whole, reeks of classism, privilege and plain ignorance. It's so painfully obvious when somebody who has no clue about punk history, or even the basic idea of poverty in Britain, writes about or speaks about Hobie and his universe.

Let's also discuss the way people immediately assume Hobie is a thief who has no hygiene, and how that's a god damn issue. There is NO mention in the comics or movie of him not washing himself or being a kleptomaniac, not only that, but aren't wicks hard to maintain? It's obvious he doesn't use 3 in 1.

This assumption of Hobie is racism and that much is obvious, but is also rooted in classist beliefs and common stereotypes about punks used to demonise the movement. People also threw around this 'headcanon' in the first movie with Miles, it's a CLEAR pattern.

Don't even get me started on cishet people in this fandom and how heteronormative / homophobic people are in regards to Hobie. 'B-But Hobies universe is the 70's 🥺🥺 he'd hate gay and trans people...👉👈' Do your god damn research?? The punk and LGBTQ+ movements have always been closely intertwined. I have seen a comic panel where Hobie literally kisses Captain Anarchy, but even if that isn't real and was edited, he is still friends with Captain Anarchy, who's a confirmed gay man.

All in all, please, for the love of god, just treat Hobie Brown like you treat Peter Parker. Treat him like the well written character that he is. He's not some racist, classist stereotype you can push your bigoted beliefs onto.

Just wait until I get onto how misogynistic this fandom is toward Spiderbyte and Spidergwen, don't get me started because I will make another post.
