Octavian isn't that bad of a character. He was just really poorly written. If Rick gave him a sob story you guys would be falling at his knees.

okay okay I didn't answer this for WEEKS I'm super sorry my head was so empty and I got hyper fixated in another fandom, so I didn't want to deliver half assed answers, but I'm back!! recharged lol

• new rome/camp jupiter probably has a million secret entrances to different places, that probably only reyna knows of.

• octavian was actually friends with jason and Reyna when they were little kids but he grew to be evil and they became frenemies.

• jason and reyna spent basically all their time tgt going to different historical locations, if jason was assigned a quest he'd be like ‘can reyna go with me please?’ because they'd use it as an excuse to tour places and talk about history.

• jason definitely had other best or atleast close friends in cj or nr in general, apart from reyna. and I feel like that person knows him too well (maybe even more than reyna does) and after his death they cried their heart out, and nobody knows that they were close friends. this friend/friends have so many letters and things jason wrote to them.

• baby jason and reyna would love to try on the armours that were put on the statues in cj and would run around with it. they were definitely rebel kids.

The Romans and Friends on Karaoke Nights

Caesar: Is the only one sober. Only sings bc the others beg him to. Does "All of Me" and is surprisingly good with the high notes

Pompey: Performs "Crocodile Rock." Throws up into someone else's hat that he thinks is his. Did not come in a hat.

Cleopatra: Nails "Hello", has the others crying

Brutus: is very shy and only gets up to sing when he's sufficiently inebriated and Cassius goads him into performing. Surprises everyone with how impeccably he sings Jeff Buckley's cover of "Hallelujah"

Antony: Drunk off his ass, sings mostly hit classics like "Mr. Brightside", "What's my Age Again", and "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" bc he has a *type* for music and it's all 2000s nostalgia

Octavia: Sings "Love Story" and "White Horse" by Taylor Swift while mildly tipsy, trips slightly on the stage but goes on singing

Cassius: Will only sing Fallout Boy. Gets really into his performance of "Centuries" but passes out afterwards and asks for more shots the moment he wakes up

Octavian: Sings "Bad Guy" by Billie Eilish while making unnerving eye contact with Antony

Cicero: gets too drunk and throws up in bathroom without ever singing, cries about his divorce when Cleopatra sings "Hello"

Octavian as Maui, but instead of some big warrior demigod, hes some skrunkly crunkly little shit, a demigod from ancient times, who thought he could steal Gaeas heart and survive, failed miserably and was cursed to being a mortal demigod thousands of years later.

We don’t know much about Octavian, where he came from, why he is so pompous, so what if it’s because he was born in ancient times, and was cursed with having to be a mortal demigod in modern times, with barely any semblance of the powers he used to have, and it shows. He has a god complex, because he used to be able to get away with it. He *used* to be able to do anything. Now he’s in a fucking teenagers body. And yeah, he causes a war.

it wasn’t that bad in olden days, it was a point of honor. And when he saw that cannon c for a split second he thought he saw a glimpse of his old life, he could be the hero he remembers. And Mabye, death could bring him that, Mabye if he died he could be who he used to.

but the gods decided fuck that, he hadent repented and returned the heart, he miraculously survives, spiteful and vindictive, and very pissed. His body dosent feel like his own and now he’s being denied death? Fuck.

Micheal eventually finds him and he basically decided she’s going to help his freind finish the quest, no idea on Octavian’s planned auicide after the quest. Octavians just done, he’s so tired, and mad, and awful, and powerless. He’s just done. But his planned go into turmoil when he realises Micheal actuallly cares about him. It’s awful, and right, all at the same time.

he dosent deserve this, right? He’s not who he used to be. He’s not the big amazing warrior, he’s not the hero, hell, he’s not even a very good villain. But Micheal thinks he’s amazing. And that’s scary, and wrong, and oh so good to feel his walls comming down. But he hates it at the same time. He’s allways been alone, back in the ancient when he was doing quests, or then when he was Augur, and now… he was trying so hard to be alone. But Micheal wouldent get the fucking message.

and when they finish the quest, it’s overlooking the cliff Octavian first fell off before he was transported to this mortal world. He stood there, looking at the water below. It was churning, dark and uninvitong. He wonders if death will be cold, dark. Like a nightmare, the cold floor biting your skin like frostbite, and the darkness so bad you could barley see your hand infront of your face.

it warm, like good memories. Holding him, ears hearing like he’s underwater, muted light through bliss enfectibg goggles. Like good things, and happy times. Would it be warmer then Micheal’s arms-

Octavian bristled. He wasn’t supposed to think like this. No one was, it wasn’t strong, it wasn’t right. But god he wanted to curl up in Micheal’s arms and never leave. He wanted to feel small, he wanted to feel something other then a FUCKING overwhelming need to be the best, to be the greatest, to make history no matter the cost.

but death felt so tempting, but for the first time in forever he felt like he could find happiness with another person. That Mabye he could be ok, with not being great. With just being… good. With someone he loved.

No, he didn’t deserve this. He didn’t deserve to feel this safe. This happy. He screwed up the world. He’s fixed it. But now. What’s left?

what could keep him happy, what could keep him, someone so broken, and who he thought was *evil* he was *evil*, what could he deserve?

Octavian didn’t know when tears started falling down his cheeks, or when his foot came closer to the edge. It felt lucid, like he was underwater, like he could see himself, but not through his eyes.

he heard Micheal calling for him, but it felt muffled. He heard noises, not words. Cody soon,, then panic.

he didn’t want Micheal to panic, Micheal deserved the world. He wasn’t sure when he took a step closer to the edge, or when he let himself fall fowrd. He wasn’t sure what was happening, it felt so… unreal. Like, so so very unreal. He felt arms around his waist and felt himself be tanked back, falling back onto someone, and the jolt winding him, and the breath he took almost broke the illusion of serenity with a harsh slap of reality. He heard Micheal yelling at him, sitting up, still holding him.

he couldent tell the words, everything eas becoming more real. That warm feeling was gone, that bliss of not feeling, was gone. And he didn’t know if he liked it. Octavian *sobbed*. He didn’t know why, he wasn’t sure why he could actually do this. He wasn’t supposed to do this. He was supposed to be strong, scary, and big. But in Micheal’s arms he felt oh so small. He heard Micheal’s voice falter.

this was all to much for Micheal. He felt petrified when he saw ofcavoan first walk to that edge.what was he supposed to do? What *could* he do? He was frozen, till he saw that step. Then another. And he had to fling himself at Octavian and yank him back before he fell, and when he grabbed him Micheal fell flat on his back. He was yelling at Octavian, asking him what the hell he was thinking. Till he started sobbing. He only could hold him. There wasn’t anything he could do in this situation. He just held him. This was overwhelming for both Boyd, and they sat there. For how long he didn’t know. But what he did know? Him and Octavian had a long conversation ahead.

sorry, it was meant to be a light hearted thing then I just continued and it spirals out of control. This was my first time writing angst, and actually writing things, not just a concept. Wow. What do you think?

Name: Khan

Race: Sri Lankan 

Age: 6 when he found Octavian, is 8 now.

Skin tone: brown golden dark, closer to Samuel L Jackson Then bob Marley.

Hair: hair length to his waist, dreadlocks, largely darker brown than his skin.

Markings: due to his heritage he has more drastic identification then most demigods. He has gold markings around his body where traditional body painting would be applied.

Eyes: golden eyes, pupils are closer to slits than circles, more like a sharp oval.

Clothes: white and red clothes.

Jewellery: gold. Dosent matter where it’s just gold.

Weapons: doesn’t have one yet, but will include a scythe when he gets older.

Powers: they sent unlocked yet.

Relationship to Octavian: he sees him as his parent basically. He can’t remember his mother, swing as she died a while ago when he was four. He managed to survive on his own two years, before he found Octavian dying, and accidentally used his locked powers to fix what he could, unknowingly. Octavian was a lot for a child to learn so he either called Octavian ‘Tay-Tay’, somthing Octavian deals with, or ‘mama’ because that’s easy for a kid and he just registered good parent, his mum, with Octavian. Octavian gets a little touched and a lot embarrassed when Khan calls him that.

(I have a freind irl who looked like this as a kid, he wanted me to add in a charecter for him. He’s my best friend, imma just put this there. Well except for the demigod features, he doesn’t have gold markings or gold eyes 😅)

"Well, for starters, you're hurt," Kahn said bluntly, motioning to Jason's chest. "Why'd you let yourself get speared anyway? That's pretty stupid."

Jason's jaw clenched as Khan pointed out the obvious. He didn't need a lecture from a kid, especially one who didn't know the full story. "It's not like I WANTED to be speared," he grumbled.

"And then you just lay in bed all day, not doing anything," Kahn continued, ignoring Jason's comment. "Doesn't seem very fun, does it?"

Jason bristled at Kahn's words. He was recovering from a serious injury, for gods' sake! It wasn't like he was just lounging around for fun. "I'm healing, smartass," he snapped.

Octavian after the cannon if he survived:

White fluffy hair around going to his waist, put up in a high ponytail.

A white button up shirt under a black vest with a flowy pattern on it.

Due to the cannon, the left half of his face was horrifically scared, in the same way two face has two faces, half of his face is normal and the other is covers by a metal half mask, with a glowing place where the eye would be.

He wears hearing aids due to going partially deaf due to the loudness of the cannon.

His whole left side is pretty fucked, he lost his left arm fully during cannon, that’s the only thing they found of him. Henry had a metal prosthetic made with the same pattern that’s on the vest carved into it.

His leg wasn’t as bad as his arm but he still lost chunks, he got it metal plated but it still causes him regular pain.

He has to spend over half an hour ruccibg ointment over his whole left half, as it’s fully scared.

The only scars on his right side is his top surgery scars and a few he got from fighting.

Goes by Vi to people who don’t know him so he isn’t found by people in his past.

Was awful with a sword, but found he adopted a bow after the whole cannon incident.

Wears heeled boots because on his left half his hell was fully replaced by metal, and it’s less painful if his mussels are tensed like that.

Got proficient in sign language but signs with a slur due to the fact he has one metal hand and only half his sight.

Got less racist, and now without Gaea in his ear 24/7 telling him to exterminate the Greeks he has some sort of small music playing in his hearing aids because he can’t stand the silence.

Trans (FTM) and had a gay awakening when he was fighting with Jason, and denied it very hard. 

Wears an old braclet of the last things he could snatch from camp before he ran away.

No one thought he was alive, and basically didn’t remember to check for him for weeks after, when they found his arm. He was paralysed for a week lying down in the grass awake but unable to move and in pain, he cried all his tears from them, developing a despising of all demigods in general after he was made to suffer for a week straight basically undead.

Was saved by a small Greek boy who was about 5. He basically adopted him after that, begrudgingly. Finding out he was a son of Kronos, about three years after, and still taking care of him. Basically hiding him from his dad and trying to survive away from society.
