I love my MHA OC because normally you go the hero route, and he is strong enough to do that, but he spends his time in developing costumes and hero suits, so he's support course, but is more a Tailor/Chemist rather than the standard Engineer that the rest of them are.

The second this exchange student was on the premises and made aware of the costume situation, he lost a part of himself.

The funny part is that Wyn-Swep is genuinely just me as a character loosing my mind over costume design and policy, I'm making shit up to explain various new costume design developments, made this thing called a Cell Fabric Integrator, or CFI to explain the DNA costumes without having characters to get massive haircuts, might do some posts about Lysander and how the Second Year heroes are the bane of his existence and how he really shouldn't have transferred.

He's a brilliant little British man losing his mind because no one seems to be considering ease of access and comfort in hero suits.

Also yes the Team Comps are sooo good, I've taken to calling them Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald Teams as a play on the X-Men Blue and Gold Teams. Genuinely well thought out rosters.

i'm watching mha you're next since its on US netflix now and i couldn't be bothered to figure out where to watch it for free before this and this whole thing is actually insane. wdym they all got sucked into a parallel dimension made out of light by an evil all might imposter from europe and all the 1A students (and presumably other hero course classes) are running around in UA branded trucks stopping villains and also their teams are lowkey really well thought out for a one off movie (like each one has a pretty balanced skill set). i've only watching like 35 minutes so far but tbh i love it its so fun and also gives us a window into how the characters have evolved over the course of the story (like compare this to the team from movie 1 they've gotten SO MUCH better at working together and playing off each other's strengths) and what the day to day in that time in between deku coming back and the final battles looked like

I'm not sure how to explain this but when ever someone brings up the old, 'What songs or Artists do you associate with this character?' question concerning MHA the only person I can answer in full confidence is Rick Astley for Kaminari.

No I will not elaborate you work it out yourself.

I know it's not super common but I really like it when mha characters are drawn near identically to their canon counterparts, only major difference is their skin tone is more tan.

Like yeah your right Sero, Hatsume and Jirou do look fantastic with tanner skin, I can't look at Mei any other way now I've just been exposed to to much of Pix's art, that's default Mei now.

I think it's the colour contrast with the pink that makes it work better.

Also because Japanese-Filipino Jirou is an exquisite vibe.

I think the Jirou as a part of the Bakusquad debate can be settled in an easy manner, she is to the group what Batman is to the Justice League, she's the part timer who happens to be there nearly all the time.

One of my Moot's refered to her as the groups Sixth Power Ranger, and that honestly fits she is there but she's not always there.

I think she works in the group because she's the base to everyone's more chaotic energy, she keeps them steady because she can rein them in.

Hey remember this hero who appeared in Rising, who looked an awful lot like a Kaminari?

Well I do, she's labeled in the Credits simply as AA, which is a pity because she has an awesome design and seemingly neat quirk, some sort of electrical whip that she summons from between her hands.

Well I decided to draw her, and go with the popular fandom theory/in-joke, that's she's Denki's mother. So here she is.

Now I'm shit with human anatomy, I draw trains most of the time, so she looks rather funky.

I've named her Arashi, meaning Storm or Tempest, fitting of the Kaminari matriarch, her name Catanary is a miss spelling of Catenary, but I think it's better as Catanary seeing as it's three A's being Triple A as in the battery and in reference to her (In my writings) Three Children.

Speaking of which that's what the numbers up top represent, the age age which she had them all, her oldest Citron at 25, Denki at 29 and her youngest Eureka at 35, so she's doing really well for a 45 year old hero who had three kids.

In terms of personality I think she would be reasonably close to Jirou in that regards, they do have similar eye-designs, she's a sassy more reserved woman, who has a tendency to make fun of her kids for silly things they do, she even had a few self image issues in high school, but you wouldn't note that from the raw confidence she radiates, even at her height of 5'7.

She used to be one of the billboard sweethearts when she went fully pro at 21, but she met her soon to be partner at 22 and was interspersed when she wasn't raising at least one kid her longest run in the spotlight was when she was 32 which was about the time that Jirou got to see her on TV and the like, became one of her favorites, lost interest at seven so hadn't fully grasped her last name, and didn't realise she and Denki were related until second year.

I think she's pretty fun, and of course she'll be appearing in Peizo, she's just too cool not to.

And hey if anyone of you who are better at drawing humans want to have a crack at drawing her, please do she has such a lovely design that sadly went to waste for small scene at the start of a very good movie.

Hello Sero Fans!

I have news of which I have recently extrapolated as weird pseudo science.

Right most of you will be aware that you can make natural glues with animal produces, a protein called Collagen, primarily found in high quantities in mammals, it's found in.

The Skin

Bones

Tendons

Cartilage

Ligaments

Now Collagen is used to make Glues and Tapes, for tapes specifically as that is what we are interested in here is used specifically in Water Activated Tape, as it's noted that prolonged usage can Dehydrate him, lending credence to the idea that is tape is water activated. So it's likely that it's sweat activated from him, but it is possible that it can be set to activate when in contact with a damp or sweaty object, EG: Human, Bakugou.

Now because his body needs produce greater amounts of Collagen, that means he can also probably make everything it's contained in in a shorter timeframe, which makes sense.

This also means that he, and I'm saying this as a hypothetical, he has increased Regeneration, now I'm not talking anything like Wolverine levels, but rather he can heal faster from broken bones and pulled tendons, and possibly damaged skin, so it's possible he can heal off scraps and burns faster than the average, by MHA standards human.

So primarily his quick creates Tape, but what I'm calling a Mutation, because that term is used next to nowhere in MHA, is that this excess Collagen is used to strengthen his Tendons and Ligaments, hence his ability to swing from his elbows unfettered without majorly throwing out his shoulders, his Tendons are stronger.

In short, his quirk is simply produces shit tons of Collagen in much the same way that Bakugou produces shit tons of Nitro Glycerin.

In short Hanta Sero's Quirk has a pretty neat possible biological system inbuilt into his bone that not only makes him more durable, but makes him able to heal of damage faster, if only marginally.

This is part of the reason that I don't like when people characterize him as being this really stoic emotionally unavailable character, because he is super emotionally available, but he just isn't emotionally intelligent if that makes sense.

He's just a really sweet guy who happens to be rather dense, not dense in that he doesn't recognise peoples emotion but rather in that he isn't super good at social cues in working out why people tend to feel those emotions.

But I really do love how he puts away all of his pride, which honestly Shoto doesn't seem to have a lot of to instantly give her the motivation, I know canonically it was because they were both heavily reliant on their quirks but I think it was also because of Shoto's self confidence, well less so confidence just he lacked the care for what other thought of him in a sense, he get's over himself without question because.

A. That get's them the win

B. Put's her back in the game

He knows she's competent, massively so as can be seen by her dissection of the Training Fight in which she broke down why everyone got their scores, and she out maneuvered him in the sports fest, I think he was in a way rather distraught that she was feeling so bad for herself, because to him, why would she have to feel so put out, it was one bad match up.

But to get back on topic in some way, I think it's cute that he tries really hard to help her through out the exam and even afterwards with Kamino and the Hood attack.

We don't talk enough about how Todoroki goes out of his way to see Momo happy in that final exam arc. He:

Notices Momo is nervous about the practical and comes up with an idea for the both of them

Reassures her when the exam starts and listens to her concerns

Tries to protect her the moment he knows Aizawa is nearby

Immediately fucking shelves his ego and plans when his teacher tells him to believe in his partner

Tells Momo about his confidential vote for class president, because he knows it will give her the confidence she needs to have someone she admires, admire her back

Fucking basically offers to massage her foot when he sees her starts crying?! This boy, I swear...

Todoroki himself is sleeping on it but this man has game

Turns out what Peizo truly needed was dorky as fuck TodoMomo Slow burn.

That is a ship that you cannot jump straight into you must leave it in the oven for ages.

I find it funny that people will often draw or write Denki as wearing sneakers, having some sense of style.

He doesn't, his whole style is that he's half dressed like a Cowboy half the time, his wardrobe is getting praise from Snipe, don't believe me?

Firstly is this shot in which we can see, most of the fit is not that, but the jacket is halfway there, see that massive collar, and the huge belt, and lastly those are rather large heels on his boots.

He's wearing fucking cowboy's!

He's wearing the bloody things in his Shifuku!

And why the hell has he got a bird on that massive belt buckle!?

He's a buttondown and a hat away from leaping onto a horse for godsake!

And he's wearing them at school!

His casual shoes are cowboy boots.

Honestly at this point lean into it, give him a jacket with fleece lining in winter.

Do it make Denki Kaminari go full cowboy, it would be funny.

I imagen he doesn't often, I'd barely ever swear so when I did they'd turn and go 'Did Midnight just swear?!' that's how I imagen him.

People have this preconceived notion that he doesn't, so it hits harder when he does because they aren't expecting it.

It kind of pisses me off the way some people characterize deku as if he’s “too pure” or whatever to swear, it’s not even canonically accurate

So modified some of the colours on Momo's Season 4 Look (Sorry for using the Arabic Dub version only one that I could get at a good full body that didn't have that stupid shelf in full view).

The colours are based of the new TUM art.

And Honestly I like the black cape and the, Bandolier? Utility Skirt? With the pale colours, the lighting making it look white, so I swapped it to the pre existing white, so now the diamonds on the side match up with the rest of the costume finally.

Whilst I'm not 100% about the Arabic changes, to explain how that would work, I'd say it's a mesh so it works with the fats being semi liquified before forming their objects, I think this would likely be included with the full winter gear to keep her slightly warmer.

The Black boots are an inclusion I added after having it pointed out that her hair resembles a Cranes tailfeathers.

Cranes do have read markings often on the head, so the colours match up, and some have yellow orange feathers so all the colours are present.

Honestly pretty happy with the light change, I'm not 100% on it but it's a fun variant, the Arabic alterations are a bit, well dividing but I think they would work as a preamble before going full close cover as a pro, which likely is an improvement of the mesh design.

One of these days I'm just going to start transplanting various characters with super powers into Peizo, I am looking at the Angel Moon Gang from Batman Beyond.

I'm coming for you afterwards PJ Masks.

It's rather saddening that I see next to no TodoMomo art on this sight, I check up on the tag fairly often, it does get updated with new fics, (Only issue, why so many smutty ones? I know they are both exceptionally attractive humans but they are about as awkward as a foal learning to walk, It would take them months to get to that point, but that's just me) and text posts, which I'm sure are highly informative having read a few of them, the formatting simply throws me off.

But it is a bit of a farcry from that dangerous and dogfighting place called Twitter in which pretty much all of the TodoMomo art is carried by the Japanese side of the fandom, to which I say.

I am so fucking tempted to make an extended post because the concept of Class 1-A as Transformers is in my brain now and It will not go away, I have a few ideas for alts and names but ho boy no clue if I'll do it though.

A look back at the family in ashes.

MHA has the distinct issue with the fact it's one guy writing it with a few editors chipping in, I think a lot of Manga and Anime could avoid some of their issues with just not expanding and using concepts.

Like there is so much in MHA that could have more done with it, there are more characters then there is time, there are 20 Students in the class, but I don't think we even know the reason they wanted to become heroes, what are the motivations for half of them?

Heroism has become this sort of sport in a way, competitive and there are so many of them, they have a ranking system, from memory, No Other Series Has a Ranking System For Heroes, because they don't need them, all other series have your Listers, A, B, C, D, there is no numerical title, and what the fuck does it mean to be No.1.

See that's what I want to see, why the fuck does being No.1 matter? And who better to ask that question in verse by Shoto, a victim of this sport, him and his brothers breed like Pokémon for their fathers selfish ambition to a title that in the long terms is really meaningless, a target really, what is being No.1 if anything but a status symbol, a don't fuck with me sign, the get out of jail free card. Like seriously did anyone ever explain what the fuck being number one even meant?

Why the fuck do Katsuki and Izuku even want that title, they just want it to be the best?

What I would have loved to see but I am so disappointed that we didn't get was MHA's version of Young Justice's Disordered, a final reflection and dissection's of the characters, the Todoroki's are their worlds version of the Wayne family.

Show me why Shoto is the better version of Endeavour, not just in power but who he is as a person, someone better, he wouldn't want anyone to endeavor what he and his family went through, he is MHA's Dick Grayson so desperate to become nothing like his father, taking the best parts of him making himself better, stable not one to create his own legacy through a child. He doesn't want another him, another Natsou, Fuyumi or Touya, he doesn't want another Endeavour as that name isn't a symbol of Enji's desire to become No.1 to Endeavor through everything that life throws, but no.

Endeavor isn't his title, it is badge of shame, it's not his. Endeavor is the title of the family, to hold out against him, Rei was endeavoring so much pain from seeing her family burn around her, eldest burning.

Fuyumi was holding out for the hope of a normal life, one she could enjoy and share with her family.

Natsou was holding out for the day he could leave to become his own person as far away from his family as he could.

Shoto Endeavored to even become himself he lost his childhood, but you can't lose something you never had.

And Touya, that poor boy so wide eyed and simply wanting his fathers love, his father to save him, but he burned his father frozen watching him, only to be saved by a demon who walked out of the flame.

This is MHA's Batfamily, and Touya has so much in common with Jason it hurts, they both just wanted their Father to save them, but they burned, Bruce tried to save Jason but he couldn't Enji froze, the two were brought back by demons, and had no qualms about murder, to kill to get that attention after they lost a portion of their lives.

But they never explore that, Horikoshi has had several chances to ask, how does it feel to die and be revived, to lose that time, but he never has.

If he had a few other writers to conifer with, you'd get something truly interesting, MHA needed more time in the oven, it has the hallmarks of a truly interesting story, but really didn't get the time to develop, so much was left unanswered, unwritten and unresolved, the status at the end of the series is the same, yeah it gets slightly better, but does it.

We still have people wanting to become heroes, we still have the rankings we still have people gunning for first, and what's that going to do?

Create another Todoroki family, and with Quirk Singularity that oversight of Hubris is going to start festering again, it may not be from the demon in the shadows, but rather the man in the mirror repeating the same mistakes that one man driven by the selfish desire for first made.

And this time they won't be facing Touya with an equal, but they might be facing Magneto with no answer.

Momo should not have any mentors who's hero names begin with M.

Okay Momo has had three mentors and two of them, who's hero names both begin with M died, that being Midnight and Majestic.

Girl could have lost way more, if you are a hero who's codename begins with an M, do not take Creati on as a trainee, you will end up dead.

They have cowls.

I'll be real with guys, I think Izuku has more in common with Terry McGinnis than Peter Parker.

Both are from a future time period, Peter is often depicted in the present.

Both when out of there way to become heroes, Peter did it because of circumstance. There was no-one telling the two to fight for Dana or Katsuki, they just did it because they were in danger and acted as such.

Both gained their tech and abilities after impressing their soon to be mentors, both former heroes, Peter was solo and had no one else to train him.

They both managed to bring some substance and light to said mentors lives, again Peter never got to do that.

Due to both having mentors they weren't behind their backs to do what they felt was right, Izuku at Kamino and Terry in his first ever outing as Batman. Peter never had a mentor to really disobey.

Another thing is who they are as people, neither of them are the hyper genius that is Pete, they are both are intelligent but not quite to the levels of their peer, but both Izuku and Terry have hearts of gold and wealth's of compassion, not to say that Peter doesn't, he's been under the limbo bar of hell enough times to empathise with just about anyone.

And at the end of it all, the two were able to defeat the mentors arch rival.

They are perfect Legacy heroes, both with weird father like relationships with their mentors.

Whilst Terry got his wits from Peter and Izuku his powers, both really are just convergent versions of each other differing in environment, and well quip usage, both distinctly have traits from Spidey, but both are distinct characters in there own right.

I just find it intreasting how much these two have in common, it doesn't even really seem like Izuku was meant to be like Terry, he was always modeled on Peter it was just a happy coincidence that the two became so alike, hell their costumes are even kind of similar with the cowl with long ass ears, and the new Omega Suit is pretty much identical in concept to the Beyond Suit.

Put the current abilities back on par with the previous ones.

A world where any hero can exist.

Honestly the best part about MHA is that you could stick heroes from any property you could think of and they could work with some fenagling, like watch this.

Metro Man

MHA Version.

Hero Name: Metro

Quirk: Frictionless

Is immune to the bounds of fiction when activated, sliding along floors, this friction is of all forms allowing for limited flight, has a limited range that can be extended to objects in their grasp.

There see simple, yes you lose stuff like the super strength but you keep a lot of the other abilities, super simple, and you can do this for most powers, it's great!.

You see the BakuSquad isn't actually four idiots, Jirou and Bakugou, it's actually Three Idiots, Two Half Idiots and Bakugou, everyone's math has been really wrong this whole time.

A Dark Cave of a Head

I had a few ideas concerning that post about Midoryia in Gotham, and that got me thinking, does the MHA version of Batman have a quirk? Or is it the same as normal no quirk?

I my head he has one considering his age the murder of Thomas and Martha likely awoke his quirk, what would that quirk be?

Here's the idea.

Quirk: Constitution

Mental attack have no effects on the target as their mind is walled completely off, unreadable and unchangeable to mind altering abilities, if a person tries to read their mind they simply encounter a wall of inky darkness.

Basically it's just a version of Bruce's canon ability to make his mind unreadable, it also makes quirks like Brainwash ineffective, simply it makes his brain tamperproof, doesn't give him any greater abilities, it simply makes him strong against mental attacks, put's him in an Aizawa situation where he has a good quirk, but it's not going to win by itself, hence the rest of the Batman training.

He really is a bit of a nucleus for some many things, like if you remove him for the equation so much changes, hell I think the whole dynamic of the class changes if he isn't present.

He really became the guy they looked towards, you have so many points where the other will go 'Right what would Midoriya do here' he had their backs so often that when he goes MIA they all show up without question, honestly Kaminari was the realest in that spat, told him to take a bath.

They all had something to say to him, they all had an impact, and he really go from a bunch of individuals to a group that had each others back, and they are to a degree by the end of the story ride or die.

Blue Lantern Activity.

Today's MHA ramble is either gonna be great or ineligible and there will be no in-between. I'm on my computer instead of my phone today so I can type so much faster, but, I am slightly dehydrated and out of it because I just spent like eight hours outside in the sun for a renaissance fair so maybe I'll just pass out half way through, who knows.

Lizzy's MHA thought/ramble of the night: MHA and why I think it does the "power of friendship" trope the correct way (IE: Not cringy/weird).

Now, I honestly think trying to wrap up the intricacies of the end of MHA in just "the power of friendship!!" is doing the series a huge disservice, but in its simplest form, that kind of is what happens. To be honest, I'm such a sucker for this trope. I love it when we get to see all the people the MC (Izuku in this case) has made an impact on over the course of the series and they all come together to back the main character, that is thee shit and I will eat it up.

However, the thing I love about MHA's approach to this is something we see explored a lot through the series: the idea that you don't have to go at it alone. Like, I feel like the ending has so much more of an impact because instead of them all the other characters standing behind him and going "Yay!! You can do it!! Good job!!" No, instead they run beside him and say "rest, we'll clear you a path. We know we can't do this for you, but at least let us do this".

Because that's what a friend is. That's what friendship is. It's realizing that not only is a friend someone you want to protect, but it's someone who protects you.

It gives me chills Every. Damn. Time.

It's through that we get to see the impact Izuku has made on everyone in the series. I joke with people that even when Izuku has nothing to do with something that's happening, he has something to do with it, and that really comes to a head in the final chapters. In a sort of ironic way, it's what ends up defeating All for One, because it's literally the only thing he never managed to get. Deku says as much while they're fighting, that deep down All for One really is just a lonely man. He had power, people to do his bidding and hang on his every word, but the top of the world is a very isolating place to be because there's no one who can look you in the eye. Followers and friends are two different things, a friend is an equal, a follower is a pawn.

I think it's why All for One was so attached to his younger brother Yoichi, because deep down, he knew All for One in ways that no one ever could. It was the closest to a genuine loving relationship he ever got.

Honestly, it's part of why All Might failed the first time around too. He had a few friends, sure, but in the end he was surrounded by mostly fans. People who adored and appreciated him, but did so from behind a barricade. All Might pretty much worked alone - and Deku definitely couldn't have made the progress he made without the trail All Might blazed - but Deku had the one thing All Might never did: People who fought alongside him even when he didn't want them to.

And, honestly? I can't blame All Might for avoiding it. After all, Deku almost does this same thing. They both wanted to protect people so badly they don't want to accept help. They see themselves as the only person who's allowed to make sacrifices because they're so scared they'll loose someone. It's part of the reason I find such comfort in Izuku as a character, because he never wants to see anyone else hurt because of him.

However, because Deku reached out first in the beginning, because he made friends and took care of them whenever he could, because treated them as equals, they said "too bad so sad, you get our help whether you like it or not, because that's what you'd do for us". It's the beauty of those final episodes of season six and why I love them so much, because 1-A had no reason to go after Deku other than they were worried about him. They didn't take no for an answer, because sometimes it's a friend's job to take you by the hand and scream in your face to "TAKE A NAP!!! EAT SOME FOOD!! It's exactly like Ochaco says, they don't want to be protected. They're not fragile victims to be looked after. They didn't get blindly wrapped up in this mess, they dove in head first because they cared about Izuku and wanted to stand at his side.

And therein lies the difference.

All for One had followers.

All Might had fans.

Deku had friends.

Followers will only do as they're told. Fans will only cheer on. But friends? You can't tell them to do shit, they do what they want, and if they want to help you then they will. Friends go the extra mile. Friends run beside you when no one else can. Friends clear the path for you so you can deliver that final big ass punch.

That's the magic of this trope, and you can see it so clearly here because it's realistic. And by that I mean Izuku doesn't get a magical burst of energy because everyone was cheering his name from the sidelines. It came from them actually doing shit to give him a chance. It came from Aizawa bandaging his wounds, it came from Iida grabbing his hand and half-dragging him across the battle field, it came from Eri giving a little bit of her quirk, it came from Bakugo showing up at the last second to blast the crap out of someone, it came from the countless attacks launched by the rest of the heroes to give him a chance to get back on his feet.

You know what they say, actions speak louder than words, and that's the magic of this kind of storytelling. We don't need to be told they care through chants or claps, they just show us.

That's the true "power of friendship". People who don't just stand beside you, but sometimes run in front of you so you don't trip over that stump in the path.

That's friendship. That's love. And I think that's incredibly beautiful.

Right Hand Law. Never Over the Heart

Another ability ramble but Kaminari never seems to use electricity from his left hand, he uses both hands to generate massive charges semi frequently and his right when running with his Pointer, but at no point does he exclusively use his left.

Now this is likely down to him being right handed and him knowing Flemings Right Hand Law, but I was thinking in true over analyzing fashion There has to be another reason!

Then I remembered back to when I watched Avatar, when teaching Zuko lightning redirection Iroh tells him to direct all of the energy through the stomach, now lighting redirection is the movement of energy from one hand to the other, moving through the stomach as to not have the energy travel across the heart and fatally injure the user of the technique.

Now technically it doesn't seem that Denki has issues with the electricity hurting his body other than his brain but knowing him he might have taken this advice to, well I was going to say heart but that's were it shouldn't be going, so stomach then. It also might have been slight fear that the generation could damage his heart in a similar way to his brain so he uses the right hand to keep as much power away from his heart as possible.

Considering that Todoroki was based off Zuko, it doesn't sound to far fetched to me that Horikoshi included this as possibly homage to Avatar.

The Two Ravens

So realised the other day that Tokoyami's naming conventions are Mythology based, Fallen Angel, Ragnarok, Tsukuyomi being the Goddess of the Moon in Japanese mythology.

You could even consider Dark Shadow a Valkyrie consider in the Smash comics they are female.

Hell you could further the connection by saying that the two could represent Hugin and Munin, Odin's two raven's, well now I've got names for two swords.
