a knife cat food can't live without a backpack it can be empty but I still carry it around if i need a pillow i stuff my backpack or fold it until it resembles a pillow. I also carry single use gloves in case I see something interestingly gross a notebook and a pen a long rope dry tissues a passport a pill box and a water bottle actually. a backpack can be replaced by pants or/and an overcoat with extra large pockets.
