02.14.21 // This one moment when you know you’re not a sad story. You forget about wishing of dying earlier this morning. You are alive. You’re not just existing. And you open your dad’s car windows and see the city lights on the bridge; you feel the summer air on your face, your hair is blowing in the air and you think about everything that makes you remind of your friend. And you’re listening to her favourite song the one that stops time when she listens to it, and that drive even without the people who you love most in this world makes it better with the thought of the moment when you’ll feel infinite by recreating the tunnel scene with your loved ones. Have you ever felt infinite? Send me an ask about it ♡

I woke up early today to a white Istanbul and I’ve finished reading Wuthering Heights. It was my first time reading it in English so it felt like I read it for the first time. It took me a bit longer to read it than usual since I wasn’t familiar with some words and old phrases. Also, an old photo from Amsterdam, I truly want to visit there once again.

[ 003 / 100 ] days of productivity. [10/2/21].
can you tell i’m a little stressed out? i found out today that my literature essay had now been pushed forward from next monday to this friday. a day away.
also, today i managed to work on accounting in class [we had a substitute teacher] for a good 70 min straight.
seen a lot of these with your favorites, but reblog with the CURRENT book you are reading, show you are streaming, the last movie you watched, and any game/puzzle/crafts you’re working on
“The Roman genius, and perhaps the Roman flaw, was an obsession with order. One sees it in their architecture, their literature, their laws — this fierce denial of darkness, unreason, and chaos...” — Tartt, The Secret History
01.01.2021 | 2020 has been difficult, for sure. I worked as an Operating Room nurse for a few months before med school started. it was full of personal wins, but also loses. I got accepted in my dream hospital right after passing the board exam, worked my dream job, accepted in med school, but I’ve also lost patients more than I can count, heard cries over unimaginable hospital bills, and encountered grief and challenges more than I was prepared for because of the government’s incompetence.
so I tried my best to sort out my life— scrub in surgeries while going to med school interviews, advance study for the incoming sem, stick to my routine and schedule, et al, to feel in control of the things that are in my hands. Perhaps I’m no different than the Romans— in my fierce determination to deny darkness, unreason, and chaos. to provide some sort of structure in the midst of uncertainty.
2020 has been difficult, for sure. but 2021 will—should be different. 2021 will be prosperous, full of hope, and better things. there may be loses too, but I’m rooting for more good things than the bad.
you did good this 2020, and you will do better in 2021. we all will. happy new year, everyone. :-)

february 03, 2021 ♡
Hey y’all, it’s been a while but that’s mostly bcs I just haven’t felt the need to be on social media or on my phone. However, I’m stopping by here from time to time to see how y’all are doing and for updates! February feels different for me; the past few months, I’ve allowed myself to relax and take the day as it goes and, while I’m still letting myself do that, I’m also starting to work more on things like Italian and reading bcs my gap year is coming to an end soon. Tbh, these days off from academia have really made me appreciate it more and I quite miss it actually so I’m incredibly grateful for this experience.
That being said, here are some glimpses of my journal and also of my beloved Italian map!! As for updates, I’ve been focusing on Italian (and started using one of my workbooks), reading The Duke and I, cleaning, journaling, watching lifestyle and study vlogs, and listening on loop to a beautiful song that one of my favorite Italian artists named Emanuele Aloia released a few days ago. While L’urlo di Munch is a bop, Il Bacio di Klimt stays winning in my heart. Oh, by the way, both the book and movie for Little Women was absolutely amazing! I watched lots of videos afterwards and even found Timothée’s statistics song, haha. I hope this day treats y’all well! I’m sending lots of love!! 🤍✨

when writing a screenplay about an awkward archaeologist, one must embrace the aesthetic of said awkward archaeologist and literally make their entire workspace resemble that of said awkward archaeologist. i wanted my space to look jumbled, like i’d gone on adventure after adventure and brought pieces back from every trip. even though i can’t travel during the pandemic, my workspace is a nice, temporary substitute. i’m obsessed with it. feel free to ask where i got anything you see in the photo!
FEBRUARY DESKTOP WALLPAPERS
January passed by in a blur (at least for me - I’m currently in the middle of finals season, I haven’t done anything but study for the last month and a half), hope everyone’s year started off well x Since you especially liked the floral design last month, it’s all about florals this time!
This month’s designs are:
minimalist floral
minimalist floral 2.0
floral maxi
floral inverted
study girl & study boy
quote of the month: you gotta nourish to flourish (→ in Quotes folder)
I’ve included both Monday and Sunday start calendars, and there are multiple pastel colors available: lilac, pink, blue, and vintage coffee.
✎ LIKE/REBLOG if you like and/or use the wallpapers so more people can see them :)
Do tag me in your posts if you post pics of them (#bulletnotestudies), I love seeing how they look on your laptop/tablet :) And if you have requests for March, let me know - new designs, designs you want to see again, new color schemes, any holidays you celebrate, all wishes are welcome!
and lastly: Please don’t repost these or claim as your own, as I did spend quite a lot of time designing them despite also having hardcore exams going on
