I noticed something really REALLY cool about Legends arceus while looking up references, and it's so little, I don't know how many other folks have noticed it!!
The pokedex you get at the beginning of your journey;
Perfect, crisp and brand new! So many pages to fill! Untouched by anyone ever, the first to ever exist! The original pokedex.
But at the end, with a completed pokedex;
The title of the book is all ripped and damaged! It's been through so many surveys and treks out in hisui's wilderness! The edges of the blue cover are faded and dulling, maybe got wet a few times with run ins with outbreaks, being jostled around in a pack exploring around the region. The black binder holding it together after all this time is equally as banged up, probably barely keeping the stuffed pages inside safe and tucked away, but still doing its job.
This is the first ever pokedex, this is the one that began the understanding of pokemon as we know it, bringing humans and pokemon together as friends in the distant future. Before technology advanced and made the pokedex we were first introduced to in Kanto so many years ago.
It's falling apart and has been waterlogged a few times, it's recorded so much and survived raging lords, hordes or pokemon, alphas, an exile, gods of time and space, a banished deity, and faced almighty sinnoh.
And it was written, filled out, carried and protected all this time, by a kid who did their best to help the professor who first met them in Hisui.

The main advantage of the new mob is that you don't need a word to tell its lore. It is so obvious that this is a child who has lost its mother. Perhaps even because of the players' actions, because it's not like ghasts have any potential enemies. Pearl is recording the whole thing and laughing. She will later post the video online with the caption “Aren’t you glad Chaos won the final fest?”
Callie is running through the house shouting that there’s a fire as if no one knew already.
Marie is trying to call the fire department but they can’t hear a word of what she’s saying with how loud everyone else is.
Captain is standing in the corner, banging her head against the wall.
Eight is trying to get Captain to stop and find a way to help with the fire situation.
Shiver and Frye are singing “We Didn’t Start the Fire” while Big Man is trying to find something to smother the fire with that isn’t himself.
Thank you for the ask!!! Thankfully they do manage to put the fire out, but the stove is ruined.

Thinking about how funny it would be if the chain™ keeps putting fairies in jars like in the games
And then Wars, who's been in a jar before, just goes around at night freeing all the fairies and hiding them in his scarf
Everyone keeps wondering where tf their fairies go until he gets one too many and his scarf just glows in various places
Time absolutely knows but doesn't do anything about it because he knows about the Jar (he still finds it funny)
Wars' jar trauma so real tbh
but i do believe that, even if he sympathizes with the fairies and knows about the Horrors of being in a jar, he's too practical and also too much of a tactician to set free a bunch of fairies they most probably will need in case someone gets hurt
he probably slips some nice treats inside the jars for the fairies and apologizes to them, but i can't see him setting them free just because if it means losing their healing later 😅
but the mental image of wars having a bunch of fairies hidden in his scarf is cute, yes!!!
