Get it right!!!!
The way I can read or hear one thing and because I am WAY too emotionally invested, I start questioning whether Jack really loved Jackie. I just don't wanna live in a world where he didn't love her/realize how great she was (including pre Patrick times) Their relationship was so complicated but at the end of the day he loved her truly....right?๐ญ
absolutely! there is no doubt in my mind that he loved her. jackโs (and jackieโs to a lesser extent) problem was being able to show that affection, most likely due to the lack of affection he received from rose growing up. but there are stories floating around out there that show he really did love her. i point to these posts; 1 2 3 by @vixenihy in particular. like how can you argue that a man who gets his wife a (probably very expensive) bracelet for the anniversary of their first kiss (not even their wedding anniversary!!) doesnโt even love her.
also, just the way he looks at her is enough to convince me, like cโmon literally HEART EYES MF
You guys seemed to like the last one so hereโs another collage
once again guess the aesthetic!

the public yearns for the kennedy brothers !
president john f. kennedy on the phone with the attorney general, his brother, robert f. kennedy in march of 1963, laughing at his own joke about topeka, kansas.
this clip always kills me cuz bobby doesnโt even give him a pity laugh. also the last few seconds being incoherent mumblings but both seem to perfectly understand each other.
something very alluring about bobby at jack & jackieโs wedding. idk if it was the summer tan or the liveliness of the occasion or the feeling of pure happiness for his brother or WHAT but he looked so good on this day. more than usual mind you.
he was also so outwardly mischevious that day that his father had to call him out on it:
โjoe should have been the uneasy one. there is more than a trace of adolescent defiance in bobbyโs acting up in the early 1950s. at his brother jackโs wedding to jacqueline bouvier in september 1953, bobby had behaved like a naughty teenager, stealing a policemanโs hat. joe kennedy was furious. he summoned bobby and his co-conspirators, his brother teddy and some younger cousins, and gave them a lecture about disgracing the family name. when bobby tried to speak up, joe snapped, โno. you keep quiet and listen to me. this is childish behavior, and i donโt want anything more like it.โโ
the picture drives me batshit crazy i fucking love you bobby kennedy
bobby really is that one straight boy in high school whoโs whole friend group is the girls
Thank you @tedkennedyswife for this beautiful photo of Kathleen in her uniform! :D xoxo
Her gaiety and enthusiasm picked him up whenever he was down, and her ease with the social amenities filled the gaps that his own reticence occasioned. Above all, she showered him with affection and support, and he needed that. As the seventh child and the third son, following in the wake of two acknowledged โgolden boysโ like Joe and John, he had never felt for very long that he belonged anywhere. That was what all his striving for personal excellence was about. But now Ethel was there, always there, telling him that he had nothing to prove to her.
When I Think of Bobby by Warren Rogers

The thing about it โ and this was told to me by a member of the family, and I think it was important โ is that Bobby always had a terrible inferiority complex. He just couldnโt live up to his brothers. And he was caught in the middle there, I donโt think he got as much attention as the other kids. Therefore, he was always shy and always unsure of himself. Ethel was the one that changed him and gave him complete loyalty and ego building and whatever. She devoted her whole life to him. Whatever she did was always for Bobby. So, of all the wives I know, she was the least competitive when it came to her husband. She was 110 percent. She would be the one who would get madโฆ She read everything, and she used to get mad at people that Bobby wouldnโt even have time to get mad at. And, Bobby, naturally, being in politics, was more sophisticated than Ethel about his enemies. But boy, Ethel never forgot and she was toughโฆ I just felt that she โ and someone said this, and I think it was a very lovely thing โ they said that she never could get over the fact that she was married to him. It was the greatest thing that ever happened to her. He was very devoted to her. I remember a couple of times he would whisper to me, โGo over and talk to Ethel; make her happy, cheer her up, or something.โ He was always conscious of her. And it was a very, very interesting โ I would call it a beautiful relationship.

โI havenโt had a chance to think of any other matter.โ
This reminds me of when Jack had just won the Senate seat and already Joe Sr. is breathing down Bobbyโs neck about his own career:
"About a dozen of us went to Hyannis for the weekend right after the campaign," Larry O'Brien recalled. "First night there, we're having cocktails and the old man says, โBobby, what are you going to be doing? What are you going to do now?' And Bobby answers, 'Gee Dad, I don't know. I hadn't really thought about it.' .. 'You know, you've got to get moving,' the old man said. โYou know, Bobby, you've got to remember you weren't elected.'โ
