It's not always an easy thing to make breakfast in the morning when there's so many people around. Jostling for what exactly everyone's individual tastes are wanting that morning, or not wanting, or just how much coffee is left, or where the tea went, or who did the dishes last night and why there's stuff on your favorite mug. It's good though, he likes it. It feels right, having his family so close to bug him. He doesn't really like peace and quiet as much as he does the people he loves making themselves known in his life and routine. And the smell of coffee and feeling like it's a new day worth waking up for because everyone's there and alive. Right now it's just him and Sam in the kitchen, but your little brother being annoying is all just a part of it.
"You're like a middle aged divorced guy obsessed with his car, but without the excuse of ever actually having been married."
"Who wouldn't be obsessed with my Baby, she's hot as hell."
"She's never gonna love you back, Dean."
"Hey, that's not nice, I treat my girl right. Take her out on the town. Just last night, she and I went for a nice long drive, real romantic like."
Sam snorts.
Mary walks into the kitchen.
"Hey, mom, there's coffee if you want some. I'm doing pancakes, whether Sam wants 'em or not, you up for pancakes?"
"Always. I'm not gonna say no to pancakes."
"See, that's the right answer, Sam."
"Whatever, I just don't wanna throw up in the middle of my run."
"Seems like there's an easy solution to that where you still get pancakes," Dean quips.
Mary makes herself a cup of coffee at the kitched counter and grabs the milk beside Dean to put some in her mug.
Dean turns back from flipping the pancakes to look back at Sam. "Are you just bugging me about this because you've finally got a girlfriend so now you've got some kind of leg to stand on in how much of a loser I am?"
"Oh, I always had that leg to stand on."
"Sam." Mary chides.
"Sorry, Mom, I'm just messing around."
Dean smiles at Sam getting talked to. "He's just jealous of me and my girl and our long and loving commitment."
"Yeah, real jealous." Sam rolls his eyes. Dean is drinking his coffee, but he knows Sam is rolling his eyes.
"I took her out last night. " Dean offers a low whistle. "You should have seen her, man. Making heads turn left and right, she's still got it."
"Yes, she's so pretty, she's so hot, she's so stunningly blah blah blah, you understand how weird you sound, right?"
Mary smiles. "I think it's sweet. He really likes her. What did you guys do together last night."
Sam groans. "Not you too, come on."
"Took her out for a nice dive-in dinner, curly fires and a burger, with the tray that clips to the window of course, only the best for my girl."
"How romantic." Sam deadpans.
"Then we went for a nice long drive, just us and some Zeppelin, yknow. You gotta have some quality time."
Mary nods. "Your father and I used to do something very similar," Mary answers with a gleam in her eye.
"Yeah, see she gets it." Dean gestures from Sam to Mary.
"It's weird, you both are weird and I'm not participating in your perverse afflictions."
"Zeppelin never sounds better than on my Baby's tape deck."
"Yeah we know you really love a big deck." Sam snorts at himself.
"Yeah whatever." It's Dean's turn to roll his eyes.
Mary turns to him. "So what's her name, when am I gonna meet her?"
Sam starts coughing somewhere in the background.
Dean is just lost. "Huh? Who?"
"Your girlfriend. No pressure or anything, but I'd love to meet her, see who's stolen my son's heart."
Sam barks out a laugh. Dean just blinks. "Huh?"
"She thinks you were talking about an actual human woman, you weirdo." Sam spells out like he's a complete idiot. He might feel his ears turning bright red at the realisation.
"Oh," he chuckles awkwardly. "No, no woman."
"No, he doesn't date actual women anymore, only personified objects that he gives female pronouns."
"Dude, shut up, it's not that weird."
"He was talking about his car."
He should just say it. "Actually." Why shouldn't he just say what he's thinking. "Well, it wasn't just me and Baby, we might have drug Cas along, heh." He huffs at himself awkwardly. " I mean why would I need a girlfriend, I have Cas," he says it like he's joking, so he is. "And my Baby. What more could I want than that."
Sam just sighs deeply like he does when he doesn't think one of Dean's jokes is funny. Well, to be fair, it wasn't.
Mary just lays a hand on his on the counter. "You sound like you're happy." She smiles at him. "And I've already met Cas and Baby, so you don't even need to introduce me."
Sam is just shaking his head as if they're still joking, but Mary is looking at him, and actually seeing what he's saying. And he has to give her hug and try not to cry. "Thanks, mom."
okay but real talk, the funniest thing the server ever came up with was "Sam's got weird powers bc of the demon blood or whatever, but Dean is actually for real naturally a little bit psychic and has no idea"
Supernatural Season 10 in a nutshell
Dean with the mark of cain: shoves someone lightly against a door
Sam & Cas: he's gone too far
cries mournfully. guess who's been reading fics lately JSDFKLSDKL
this is just a joke
OOC Alastor (probably?)
the thing that's important to understand about cas and crowley is that theyre both on the team because theyre the most human of their kind. just a little too soft and emotional for their own good. neither of them really fit in with the rest of the angels and demons. and also theyre huge fucking losers. that's also important. your honor theyre lame and pathetic as hell fr and theyre both in love with Just Some Guy from kansas who's so deep in the closet you'd think he'd be able to find something other than flannel. and yet.
sam: is dying
gadreel: proposes possession as the only way to save sam's life
dean: absolutely not
gadreel: of course. it's your call.
dean: no it's sam's call
gadreel: right. well. rip bloodfreak.
dean: gdi
gadreel: tricks sam into saying yes
sam: wakes up
dean: i must tell him the truth posthaste
gadreel: not so fast gay boy
dean: but-
gadreel: this is a hostage situation
dean: sad face and spray tan and angst stubble
I want to see this.
Why couldn't they just bonk each other instead of getting into fist fights and starting apocalypses?
Making my own tags into a separate post because why not?
the way kripke has a favorite child from spn and it's jackles
HAHAHHAH, I love Crowley's mostly unrequited love for Dean
Anyway, Dean's most inconsistent application of his own ethical code is Crowley.
AKKENEJEDJEKEK đđ
I LOVE that supernatural establishes that dean sees Bobby as a father by having him say it multiple times, but it establishes that Sam sees Bobby as a father figure by having him try to kill Bobby for a spell that requires patricide. Thank you supernatural very cool.
I'm not one to say Dean has never done anything wrong because he absolutely has but what you have to understand is that even when he did things wrong it was okay and he was right. Hope this clears things up
You know what I just realized love about Cas? Early on, he's only a sassy piece of shit around Dean, but immensely well behaved around Anna/Uriel/Others/his bosses (changes with time).
It's literally Dean that prompts his absolutely hilarious levels of obnoxiousness and the only thing I can think of is that aside from annoying Cas on Earth, Dean also bit him or something while Cas was dragging his ass out of hell.
If Sam found out that Dean was queer I think he would immediately recognize (at least a portion) how suppressing our society is to queer people. Like i think he knew before but it would really hit him. Especially if Dean told him the Nun story.
Every single time they meet a homophobe of some sort, he would get into a violent fight with someone.
SOME SMALL CONSERVATIVE TOWN:
Dean and Sam are talking about a case for breakfast at a restaurant. At the table next to them they both hear an old guy say,
"Those queers are making a racket again. Can't they keep their weird gay shit out of our country?" or something.
Dean makes an unsatisfied noise but continues to eat cause he doesn't care about what some old guy said. Sam however gets up and walks over. He looks over him and another dude sitting with him.
"You want to say that again?"
"What?"
Sam tilts his head slightly. "You want to say that again, asshole?"
"What did you just call me-?"
Sam grabs the front of his shirt and pulls him close. "Don't you ever go around saying shit like that again. Or I'll make sure that's the last thing you say."
I can also see him getting into a fist fight.
(I think he can empathize with Dean with this cause he knows that Dean was hiding a part of himself that he felt was an abomination, a curse. Something his dad and society told him over and over. I think Sam, who always felt like a freak and weirdo, can relate. This makes him really defensive of Dean and against homophobia)

Well said.
Why is Dean so adorable? Why am I in love with Dean Winchester? How to marry a fictional character?
Oh shoot-this isnât google!!
Wait a minute!! I make FUN of the characters!!! You canât bring this to ME!Â
I have to STOP you!! Donât you SEE??? Dean is nothing but a brilliantly strategic, pattern-mapping, well-read, mechanically-gifted fool!!! Donât you understand? Heâs an idiot! Heâs never funny or endearing ever, and it isnât as if he's suffered a lifetime of trauma and yet still manages to find joy in the little things in lifeâgood food, soft clothes, movies and TV, joking around. Heart on his sleeve??? Annoying! Transformative love?? Pssh!! Yeah right!! Stop being so emotional about it, geez! It isnât as if he somehow manages to wrap up nurturing/vulnerability/love and ruthless/murderous intent into his person in a way thatâs fascinating and eye-drawing and moving in its duality rather than just confusing. It isnât like heâs the whole found family theme or somethingâwhich the showâs fans named themselves âspn familyâ after. What did Dean ever do to make you like him anyway???? Donât you know youâre only allowed to find 100% unproblematic characters (that donât actually exist) adorable??? You better check yourself, Anon!
This is my favorite part of Sams character
I keep dying đ

Making important and serious scenes about pie (1).
When TFW get pissed at each other, itâs not usually because one person made a wrong decision.
Itâs because they didnât all get to make the wrong decision
together
Dean should at all times have at least three men obsessed with him at once trying to woo him, is the thing.
Why is this so cute???
More random doodles
The last one is very messy, don't mind it, the consistency died like Adam
Doodle thing inspired from this post by @honeybee-cas <3 <3 a prime selection of moments indeed!

I don't get why people keep comparing the Dean and Kevin Tran scenes where they figure out someone is actually a demon.
The scene from season 1 where Dean figures out his dad was really a demon possessing him, and the scene where Kevin figures out the demons acting like Dean and Sam aren't really them.
Kevin realizes it's not the Winchesters when the demons were doing everything he asked. He asked for lunch, they brought him lunch. They went out and got him things and they were politer then the real Sam and Dean. Really, to me, it was a comedic moment, because they (mostly Dean) can act like a jerk without meaning to. (It reminds me of older siblings being annoying to a younger sibling) Not because they don't care about Kevin but because Dean naturally comes off that way. They do care about him and show obvious concern when he wasn't eating and sleeping enough.
When Dean realizes his dad was really a demon it was because the demon didn't yell at him, scold him, and be mad that he 'wasted' a bullet saving Sam. Instead the demon told him he was proud, like a good dad would. However, John isn't a good dad. He was emotionally abusive and he was neglectful, maybe even physically abusive. He forced Dean to act like a parent since he was four. He trained him to be a soldier and then abandoned him and Sam at the beginning of season 1.
These scenes are similar because they both involve demons and both involve someone realizing they are a demon. However, they are not comparable. One involved Dean and Sam acting like assholes (affectionate). One involved child abuse.
(ALSO, When Crowley was like, "my demons were too nice?", it made me laugh out loud.)
(Dean is still my fav)
I don't think that we should hold Sam and Dean accountable for everyone of their actions. For the ones that are in character? Yes. But the ones that the writers threw in their for drama or cause they didn't even start to understand them? No.
Sam abandoning Dean in purgatory- NOPE, that wasn't Sam. That was fake Sam.
The Sam we know would have went absolutely feral, even more than usual because this time, he doesn't actually know what happened to his brother. He would've went crazy. He ran over dog? Okay, that'll distract him for a week or two but then he'd be back on the road. He met a woman who he likes and has a chance to be with her (and maybe start a normal life?), it'd tempt him for a solid second then he'd remember how both Kevin and Dean are missing/gone and then he'd run away. (When Dean 'All I want is my brother to be happy' Winchester finally got back from Purgatory, he would actually be pissed that Sam didn't take the opportunity to have a normal life) In season 8, Sam 'I'm actually insane' Winchester would have killed a person to save his brother like the icon he is.
Dean killing Amy after Sam asked him not to- Never happened. Why? Cause Dean 'the empath of the family' Winchester, who's been the moral compass of the show for the last three seasons, knows what it's like to have a kid and would have totally let her go. He might have gone to her house with a plan to kill her, but he would have heard her out at least. Dean actually listens and empathizes with people all the time. Why would this specific instance be any different? (Duh, for the drama, obviously)
Dean believing Gadreel at all- Hmmmmm, Dean 'never trusted any angel ever (except Cas)' Winchester would've taken the deal at first out of pure desperation because Sam was literally dying. But after Gadreel asked Dean to lie to Sam , Dean's bullshit senses would've went up. He is great at recognizing BS and he would've recognized it here.
Sam irrationally hating Benny- Do I even need to start? Sam might not be the most empathetic but he's smart enough to at least look into Benny instead of automatically declare Dean as delusion, and not listen to him, at all. He knows his brother enough to know that he wouldn't just trust someone willy nilly, especially a vampire.
Ajjsejejwjejeoie hahhaha, I love this
For some reason yâall really liked my captcha test shitpost so hereâs a shitty sketch rendition just for you
