I went through the 5 stages re-reading these posts lmao

TW for panic attacks and just general angst - stay safe <3
he has the 'I could've done something to prevent it, therefore it's my fault' mentality for almost everything bad that has happened throughout their adventures
he's only now just starting to realise that he's not to blame for absolutely all of it (he's been told that it's not his fault countless times by practically every companion he has)
they despise feeling helpless or being told they can't do anything to help people
had a panic attack when UNIT was told by the UN not to 'interfere' with the construction of a British nuclear testing facility even though it was highly unstable
15 minutes later he went back in time and prevented its approval, of course
tends to go non-verbal during panic attacks (you can tell he's reached the tipping point when he stops trying to talk his way out of a situation)
Donna prompted him to start learning ASL to help them communicate when he has panic attacks
they start having little ASL conversations during boring UNIT meetings that she drags him to (they bicker like siblings)
he tries to avoid sleeping as much as possible since he has really vivid nightmares, usually about his past companions
on really bad nights he sneaks into the TARDIS and flies to a random nebula to watch the stars
sometimes they lose track of time staring at the sky for hours until Donna has to send the other doctor to find him
on those nights, the two doctors tend to sit together in silence for a while, heads resting against each other in quiet reassurance
he dissociates a lot more than his previous versions
sometimes multiple times in a conversation, especially if it's a conversation about things he'd rather forget
his friends have gotten real good at bringing him back (most of them have years of practice at this point) but River Song was always the best at it
which makes it hurt all the more when he finally feels someone tapping gently at his shoulder or calling his name and he looks around to see where his wife is
only to remember that she's not here
he doesn't cry very often - he's more likely to scream or kick something or go into problem solving mode then he is to cry
but occasionally, despite their best efforts to keep moving forward, keep running, they think about all the people that they've lost, all the lives they've ruined, all the companions they couldn't save and they can't stop the tears from flowing
...
he's so very old now
he's so very tired
they have a custody agreement.
WHERE ARE THE REST OF 15’S ORGANS ??? DID DAVID TENNANT ATE THEM??
he did WHAT
kudos to Ncuti Gatwa to be the first doctor who to say Yas Queen, to an actual litteral queen
Aragon: And this is Legolas Greenleaf, son of the Elvish King Thranduil, Prince of the Mirkwood, esteemed archer.
Legolas: Yo.
I think that one of the funniest things about Legolas (especially in the movies) is that he’s literally the only Elvish prince in all of Middle-Earth but everyone treats him like he’s just a random guy. And he ACTS like just a random guy as well which makes it even better
Beelzebub's fly hears the drama
Week 87 of posting Good Omens memes for Everyday until Season 3
THIS !
“I did the ‘I was wrong’ dance in 1650, in 1793, 1941…”
THIS. THIS IS THE KIND OF STUFF THAT WE SHOULD BE TALKING ABOUT
on some (very rare) nights in the bookshop, one of the two puts on a record they brought from Maggie and they dance in the candlelight for hours
although Crowley will forever claim to be a Queen fan first and foremost, both the angel and the demon have a soft spot for old-timey music (especially the songs with a waltz-like beat)
they spend the first few times just learning how to slow-dance (Aziraphale knows the Gavotte and Crowley...we don't talk about Crowley's...dancing...and dancing is a very generous term to describe what he does)
learning to dance goes just about as well as you would expect, but after many a trodden-on foot, the two get there
one very embarrassing time, Nina walked in on the pair in the middle of a slow-dance (Crowley's head was resting on Aziraphale's, and Aziraphale's arm was around Crowley's waist) Nina and Maggie wouldn't stop gushing about how cute they were afterwards
one time on a particularly stormy afternoon the streets outside the bookshop were deserted
well, almost deserted...
if you were looking closely, you might just catch a glimpse of a tall redhead with the brightest yellow eyes you've ever seen dancing slowly with a shorter blonde wearing an alarming amount of tartan, both of whom were staring at the other with the most adoring smile you've seen in a long time
ooooooh I love this concept
Tolkien describes many of the elves in LOTR as ‘beautiful and perilous’ or some other combination to the same effect. What if Elves created uncanny valley effects towards the other races of Middle-earth?
The elves keep a little too still.
They blink, but hardly enough to be ‘normal’.
Their skin is a little too perfect.
Elves’ grace feels more predatory.
They can be completely silent.
In conclusion, give me more unsettling Tolkien elves. Please, fanfic writers I beg you.
yesssss this is GORGEOUS
some of the most slay victorian aziracrow combos i can imagine. the wives walk into a party together in these fits and the room goes silent for a sec. bc they're slaying so hard
