If It's Not Too Much Trouble, Could You Create Or Link To A Masterpost Of What You Consider The Must-reads

If it's not too much trouble, could you create or link to a masterpost of what you consider the must-reads on anti-pornography/anti-prostitution? For example books you've referenced by Andrea Dworkin.

Hello! I will put together a real master-list when I have time but here is a quick list of must-reads regarding the anti-sex industry movement in the West:

If you want a primer, read X-underrated by Catharine Mackinnon. It’s only six pages long but it lays out the entire anti-sex industry movement clearly. If you only have time for one link, it’s this one.

Andrea Dworkin:

Books:

Woman Hating

Pornography: Men Posessing Women

Life and Death

Right Wing Women

Letters from a War Zone. Link for the chapter titled “Pornography’s Part in Sexual Violence”

After those I would recommend Last Days at Hot Slit, Intercourse, and Our Blood. Edited by both Dworkin and Mackinnon is In Harm’s Way: The Pornography Civil Rights Hearings (oral testimony of victims of pornography)

Article: Prostitution and Male Supremacy

Rebecca Whisnant:

Book: Not for Sale: Feminists Resisting Prostitution and Pornography. This is a collection of essays by feminist writers (including Dworkin!), edited by Rebecca Whisnant and Christine Stark.

Articles:

[Not] Buying It, Prostitution as Unwanted Sex.

Pornography, Humiliation, and Consent (read this one)

But What About Feminist Porn? (only one “feminist” pornographer is discussed in detail but Whisnant’s analysis is widely applicable)

Julia Long:

Book: Anti-Porn: The Resurgence of Anti-Pornography Feminism. This one is very theory-heavy, be warned.

Catharine Mackinnon:

Books: Only Words, Are Women Human?, and the chapter Francis Biddle’s Sister: Pornography, Civil Rights, and Speech from Feminism Unmodified

Article: OnlyFans is not a Safe Platform for “Sex Work.” It’s a Pimp

Sheila Jeffreys:

Books: The Industrial Vagina, The Idea of Prostitution, and Beauty and Misogyny (Chapters 4,5 and 8 especially)

Evelina Giobbe:

Book: Living with Contradictions. The chapter titled “Confronting the Liberal Lies about Prostitution” is a masterpiece.

Article: An Analysis of Individual, Institutional, and Cultural Pimping. Giobbe is also cited in Catharine Mackinnon’s article above.

Gail Dines:

Books: Big Porn Inc. and Pornland. Read both of these. Dr. Dines writes for the public and her arguments are easy to follow.

Video: Dr. Dines discussing Pornland

Margaret Baldwin:

Book: Prostitution and Pornography. Read the chapter titled “Split at the Root: Prostitution and Feminist Discourses of Law Reform”

Kathleen Barry:

Book: The Prostitution of Sexuality: The Global Exploitation of Women

Kate Millet:

Book: The Prostitution Papers (highly recommend, if you’re looking for a less academic piece)

Robert Jensen:

Book: Getting Off: Pornography and the End of Masculinity

Assorted Articles:

Kajsa Ekis Ekman interview, author of Being and Being Bought: Prostitution, Surrogacy, and the Split Self (disclaimer: Ekman is now a Russian propagandist, but the interview and book, which is also excellent, are almost 10 years old, so it’s up to you to read or not.)

Celia Smythe Anderson and Yolanda Estes, “The Myth of the Happy Hooker: Kantian Moral Reflections on a Phenomenology of Prostitutio.” Don’t be fooled by the jargon-y title, this piece is a breeze if you can find it (try an academic library)

Alexa Tsoulis Ray, “A Brief History of Revenge Porn”

Rae Story, interview with Francine Sporendo and “The Middle Classing of Prostitution: The Social Climb of the Sex Trade”

Sarah Ditum, “Why I changed my mind about porn”

Max Waltman, “Legal Challenges to Pornography and Sex Inequality in Canada and the United States”

updated radical feminist library

the radical feminist library, by aggrolesbo/ladielabrys, is great. but it has a lot of repeated and illegible files, and without the proper authors so it gets difficult to search for things. I cleaned it put and then added a lot more books recommended across the internet. Plus very good releases by suny press and routledge.

i separated the trans folder from the rest of the library so you can send it to people who would otherwise be turned off.

If you have any recommendations i would be glad to add it!

spread it far and wide please

women please take self defence classes and do not listen to men that tell you it’s futile to fight against a man. learning to defend yourself from men is not the same as when men fight each other, you are not trying to beat the shit out of him, you are trying to hurt him just enough so that you can get away. you can learn techniques to prevent a man from grabbing or choking you or how to escape a grip on you. men can knock you out or kill you if they land a proper punch but you can reduce the chances of that happening. even if you’re very small, it really doesn’t hurt to be able to dodge a punch from a man but it’s something you have to practice. it doesn’t matter how strong he is if he misses.

The lie that testosterone is going to harm your gorgeous body is the most sinister thing I can think to tell young men. Testosterone is not going to make you sick, harm you, or turn you into an unrecognizable monster.

Testosterone is going to make you happier than you’ve ever been in your life. Testosterone is going to make you look down at yourself and finally smile, because the yearning is over. Your skin and your bones finally fit just right, instead of feeling foreign and out of place. Testosterone is going to let you finally reach an enlightened, happier version of yourself. Why would you ever tell someone the opposite if it’s not out of hatred and wishing to see them suffer?

The Average Man Thinks He’s Smarter Than The Average Women. And Women Generally Agree.

The average man thinks he’s smarter than the average women. And women generally agree.

By Lisa Wade, PhD

It starts early. At the age of five, most girls and boys think that their own sex is the smartest, a finding consistent with the idea that people tend to think more highly of people like themselves. Around age six, though, right when gender stereotypes tend to take hold among children, girls start reporting that they think boys are smarter, while boys continue to favor themselves and their male peers.

They may have learned this from their parents. Both mothers and fathers tend to think that their sons are smarter than their daughters. They’re more likely to ask Google if their son is a “genius” (though also whether they’re “stupid”). Regarding their daughters, they’re more likely to inquire about attractiveness.

Once in college, the trend continues. Male students overestimate the extent to which their males peers have “mastered” biology, for example, and underestimate their female peers’ mastery, even when grades and outspokenness were accounted for.  To put a number on it, male students with a 3.00 G.P.A. were evaluated as equally smart as female students with a 3.75 G.P.A.

When young scholars go professional, the bias persists. More so than women, men go into and succeed in fields that are believed to require raw, innate brilliance, while women more so than men go into and succeed in fields that are believed to require only hard work.

Once in a field, if brilliance can be attributed to a man instead of a woman, it often will be. Within the field of economics, for example, solo-authored work increases a woman’s likelihood of getting tenure, a paper co-authored with a woman has an effect as well, but a paper co-authored with a man has zero effect. Male authors are given credit in all cases.

In negotiations over raises and promotions at work, women are more likely to be lied to, on the assumption that they’re not smart enough to figure out that they’re being given false information.

Overall, and across countries, men rate themselves as higher in analytical intelligence than women, and often women agree. Women are often rated as more verbally and emotionally intelligent, but the analytical types of intelligence (such as mathematical and spatial) are more strongly valued. When intelligence is not socially constructed as male, it’s constructed as masculine. Hypothetical figures presented as intelligent are judged as more masculine than less intelligent ones.

All this matters.

By age 6, some girls have already started opting out of playing games that they’re told are for “really, really smart” children. The same internalized sexism may lead young women to avoid academic disciplines that are believed to require raw intelligence. And, over the life course, women may be less likely than men to take advantage of career opportunities that they believe demand analytical thinking.

My radical take is that I don't trust you if you're pro natalist or if you have kids. I seriously can't take anyone seriously trying to talk about making the world a better place when they've already given up the game. Sorry hon but you can't act like you actually want to make things better when you've already made it clear you don't care about the conditions you're bringing your kids into. Having kids is quite literally the most basic way to say "yeah, this is fine, I'm totally fine with my kids living under these conditions." Having kids right now is quite literally supporting every fucked up system because guess what all those systems need? More people to run them. If you actually wanted to make a change, you would have made an effort to make the world a better place instead of having kids just cause you want em.

Not everything needs to be announced, do not put a target on your back.

With the rise in popularity of things like 6b4t, 4b, decenter men, etc I'm seeing a lot of women bragging to maIes about it which will not help us. At the end of the day maIes do not care about our happiness, look at how they get off on womens abuse, they constantly seek to break women down at every twist and turn, they dont actually give a fuck about whether single childfree women are the happiest demographic out there. Maturing as a single childfree woman is realising that it's not just about hating maIes but being indifferent to them, not caring about their opinions at all. Only recognise them for the threat & parasites they are. I dont care to prove maIes wrong. This doesn't mean I ignore or hold positive sentiments to them, I just focus on centering myself and womankind in my life instead. I often see women bring up points about single childfree women & our happiness to maIes when maIes already know that.

Let's assume that maIes dont know that women are happier when we're single, why does it matter that they know just how much happier women are when they're single? Given the way maIes have treated women, do you really think maIes give a fuck about women being happy? Do you really think that if maIes didnt know how single childfree women felt before & when they find out how happy single childfree women are they'd be pleased about it? Or that they'd care?

For every single childfree woman is a maIe without a rape maid, a maIe without someone to pummel their legacy through, etc yk how it goes. MaIes are already feeling the effects of our freedom & they're starting to retaliate. In south korea female only parking spaces were replaced with family spaces, in the USA there's project2025 & how they want to coerce women back into the nuclear family unit, in the UK many sexual offenders are being released from prisons due to "overcrowding".

Back to my point on indifference, part of that is realising that all of this shit goes beyond witty one liners on the internet. MaIes are fully aware of everything they do and how they benefit from it. To the women who brag to maIes about 4B et al, what is the end goal here? Is it truly decentering maIes as claimed or is it some type of strategy to spook maIes into being good boys? Because I've seen women try to be threatening with it like "maIes need to get their act together or we they wont be chosen/we'll 4B!" and this is still maIe centric in a way. Sounds harsh but many womens tiktoks, tweets, of this nature tend to have maIe partners or are still looking anyways so it only makes things harder for those actually serious about this. I feel like many women believe at some point maIes would grovel back to them & 'apologise' for their actions and start being better like no; maIes have intentionally done everything through force & violence including wanting a partner & children. MaIes arent going to change nor will ever change on their own. MaIes dont just want parters or children, they want this at the expense of womens lives; our goals, our dreams, and our humanity so they sure as shit dont care about our happiness.

There is thing as centering maIes even in a negative way, I saw it described as "chaotic misandrist" on the pinkpill site. Many women talk about how they want nothing to do with maIes but then make it their entire personality. Many women on tiktok are using 4B as some titillating leverage over maIes or as some divine femininity woo woo femme fatale shit. All of that still centers maIes. What needs to be realised is that it's not all about maIes. I dont solely do this as a "fuck you" to maIes, will it be? Yes. But that is not my primary reason for not dating or reproducing. Dont make this a thing where you solely want to get back at maIes. MaIes dont negotiate so attempting to barter is a waste of time and tiptoes on maIe apologism because even if maIes apologised for all the things they've done I would still not forgive them. I would still want the worst for them. Ik in that situation most women would forgive them without a second thought.

Women saying "act right or else 4B" are saying this because they still want to make it work with maIes. If there's negotiation it means a connection still wants to be formed which misses the entire fucking point. It aint about maIes it's about yourself and womankind. This is why it's hard for me to trust other women because it wont take much for them to cave as has been throughout history. I dont care what moids think about all this, as I said my primary concern regarding maIes is the threat they pose. I dont care whether they'd ever change. Anyone serious about this wouldn't be dangling the prospects of not partnering with them in maIes faces especially bc part of what leads to this is realising that maIes are dangerous & there's no reforming them. Dangling this in their face is poking the bear and maIes have no limits as to how low they'll stoop to get what they want. They'd kill themselves to prove a point.

So for the love of goddess, stop bragging to maIes about this. Doesnt matter if they say you'll be a miserable cat lady like bet. Deep down we all know they need us more than we need them. This isn't to say to hide & be ashamed of it, but it wont do women favours exposing our play to our predators.
