BREAKING NEWS! The Ghostbusters Junior hunt a Ghost through sleepy little town. Ghost is captured. 20 innocent people die in the Proton beam.
All at once! The entire Organisation 13 and their fourteen members. The most overrated and badly lead villainous organisation in the history of video games. But still one of the most charming if you forget that Lexaeus is a member.
Second Picture is Xigbar, one of the few characters who isn’t impressed by all the bullcrap around him and just has a good time.
One of fourteen posters/images about the Organization XII, mainly about their shortcomings This is all in good fun, I really love most of the Kingdom Hearts games and especially their music. First Picture/Poster is for Xemnas, the Big Bad of Kingdom Hearts 2.
Now after many years of playing the Elder Scrolls Skyrim and the many Fan-Made Mods for the game another entry into the mystical and adventurous world of Tamriel is on the Horizon.
Come to not explore the mysterious Black Marsh, home of the Argonians, or Elsewyr, home of the catlike Khajiit and nor to finally visit the Summerset Isles to fight directly against the hated Aldmeri Dominon.
Instead we will play a Card game!
No, wait I mean:
Play a game which is probably not as good as Hearthstone or other card games of this kind but will have all the Characters, Spells and Locations on cards you loved in the Elder Scroll games but can’t encounter, use or visit in this game.
After the grandiose failure of “The Elder Scrolls: Online“ watch how Bethesda tries to copy Blizzard again and most likely fail another time with “The Elder Scrolls: Legends”.
Prepare yourself for disappointment (and be already disappointed for not getting “The Elder Scrolls VI”) in:
Ehh… I mean:
….
“The War Scrolls” would be an awesome title though.
SPOILER WARNING AHEAD! If you didn’t play the “Genocide Run” of “Undertale” so far or watch a walkthrough of it then I would suggest not reading this if you want to avoid spoilers. Got it? Good. SEIZURE WARNING: The Article contains GIF’s with flashing light effects.
Note: I am a Fan of Homestuck and Undertale. Vriska is my favourite Homestuck Character and Undyne is my favorite Character in Undertale. Not Sans, sorry. I was as neutral as possible while thinking the possibilities through. If somebody wants to argue and discuss my theories they may feel free to write down their opinion.
This battle was inevitable. Well, people think that because Vriska and Sans share the same theme, the Composition “Megalovania”. It is kind of a silly reason.
But how would it play out?
The following document will try to analyse both characters, their strengths and weaknesses and their individual abilities.
I will use only canon information about the two to determine the outcome of this fight.
Some people think that a fight between the cerulean troll and the lazy skeleton would lead to “Make her Pay 2.0” but I disagree with that notion. Sans's blue-hearted telekinesis isn’t able to deal damage. He was dealing damage at the end of the battle against Frisk/Chara with the blue-heart telekinesis but he put a lot of energy in this final effort and it exhausted him pretty fast. Also the attack wasn’t deadly in the end, regardless how much damage it was able to deal. Yes, Aradia was able to deal grievous damage to Vriska but I think that Aradia has a lot more ATK than Sans who only has 1 ATK.
Karmic Retribution is a powerful tool that probably works against Vriska, eating away her HP after one hit. Still it is unknown how much HP Vriska has but we can assume that she has a lot to spare considering her having all the echeladders and that she ascended to God Tier. Also she is probably feeling a certain amount of guilt over her evil deeds which could affect the efficiency of “Karmic Retribution”. This of course is a subject for argumentation. Vriska is a complicated Character after all.
Sans uses a technique known as “Bullet Hell”, a technique often used in Shoot ’em up‘s like Touhou or Gravius but also in other Genres of Videogames. He attacks with a lot of projectiles I.e. bones and Gaster Blaster beams at once and his attacks get faster and more complex over time. If used poorly it can border on fake difficulty. But it makes sense for a game like Undertale to employ a incredible hard challenge like that and genre savvy character like Sans would use unfair tactics to stop an opponent he feels is a real danger to everything in the world. Not to mention that most of Sans's “Bullets” actually target his enemy and don’t spread over the entire battlefield without even coming near the designation. Sans even attacks while his enemy is choosing his next action. He is one magnificent bastard!
Vriska is no slouch herself being a pretty good killer and an exceptional fighter. Doc Scratch once said that he had no idea who would win if Vriska fought against Bec Noir. He wouldn’t bet on Vriska, but wouldn’t bet against her either. It would have been nice to see one of her greater accomplishments in a battle like her attack on the black king but we have only the Fan-Animation “Rex Duodecim Angelus” which is a good one but it is not canon as far as we know.
Vriska is strong, very strong, but she has her flaws and unexpected attacks are her big weakness. Sans has a lot of attacks in his portfolio which an adversary would have a hard time seeing coming. Vriska could catch up to his tricks sooner than later because her paranoia would aid her in this battle. Awaiting attacks from all directions would make her very wary of her surroundings and would give her a higher chance of evading.
Vriska’s main weapon is the Fluorite Octet, a legendary octet of magical dice which can summon all sorts of powerful creatures, weapons and other stuff. But this is a weapon based on chance so the result of every throw can be very random. Her most powerful technique is the Ancestral Awakening. If she throws eight 8’s with her Fluorite Octet she gets all the powers, strength, abilities and agility of her Ancestor, Marquise Spinneret Mindfang, had, and/or is simply empowered by her spirit. Combined with her own abilities and a very powerful sword she becomes incredibly powerful, almost unstoppable. Only really powerful beings like the already mentioned Bec Noir are her equal in this mode. But even then Sans can dodge her powerful attacks again and again until he gets to tired.
In the End it would become a battle of Attrition. A long and very exhausting battle for both warriors. But which of the two has more endurance?
Sans is incredibly lazy and laid back which made the fact that he is such an incredibly tough warrior very surprising. The irony of the physically weakest enemy in the game having the most infuriating battle techniques to counter is quite obvious but also logical.
But here is a catch: Vriska wouldn’t trust Sans. Let me explain: She obviously trusted Terezi NOT to stab her in the back but she was wrong about that in the end. Vriska knows also about many clichés, tropes and twists which happen in all kind of stories and she could sense that something isn’t right about Sans. She could, it doesn’t have to happen but the fact that something isn’t right with Sans should be obvious fairly quickly, especially in a fight with him.
Vriska would of course have problems hitting Sans because he likes to dodge attacks and is incredibly good at it. She has many ways to attack him thanks to the many possibilities of the “Fluorite Octet” but Sans is probably able to dodge most of it. Vriska also has a lot of Determination, so much in fact that only the direst circumstances and/or the most brutal breaking speeches can stop her.
Vriska’s ability to mind control and to read the mind of other people as well as her ability to steal the enemies' luck make her pretty overpowered. But I guess that Sans has the usual “Contractual Boss Immunity” against status effects so I doubt that those abilities will help against the brother of Papyrus.
Like I mentioned a few paragraphs ago, Sans has the flying “Gaster Blasters”, attack machines that shoot broad lasers at his enemies. Vriska could and probably would destroy those machines the first moment she can instead of dodging them the entire time.
I also see her trying to destroy the bones that are thrown at her instead of only dodging them.
So, would Vriska be able to survive, dodge and/or destroy all the attacks that Sans can use against her? I think she can.
I think that Vriska may able to beat Sans in a battle rather than vice versa. Vriska has simply more determination and strength than Sans in my eyes. Sans is a very hard enemy for somebody like Frisk/Chara and for the player but I’m not sure if Vriska would succumb to the same rules the players have to follow in “Undertale”. And even if Vriska has to follow the rules of the Undertale video game she may be able to succeed.
So, yes I think Vriska has a high chance of succeeding should she fight Sans.
Please Remember: That is just my opinion. And like I already said: I’m willing to discuss this topic.
No clowns allowed when Vriska is around. (And I’m all for it)
