Hi, I am wondering if anyone else could see this correlation or not.
I am currently going though the bible for the first time, since I was young.
I have got to the part of Noah's Ark. And, it feels like that is what is presently happening, just slowly.
The sea levels are rising, people are turning against people, and are consumed by consumerism.
If any Christian or bible knower understands this, is this actually happening or am I just focusing too much on what I think Bible's meaning is.

Apollo 8, the first manned mission to the Moon, entered lunar orbit on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1968. That evening, the astronauts did a live television broadcast from lunar orbit, in which they showed pictures of the Earth and Moon seen from Apollo 8. They ended the broadcast with the crew taking turns reading from the book of Genesis.

uh... i think... uh... yeah.......
I saw this on reels (reels is either gore, racism, homophobia/transphobia, communist/capitalist brain rot, or the funniest thing you’ve ever seen) and It didn’t connect in my head that the reel was trying to talk about illegal immigrants and I was like, “THEY KICKED HIM OUT OF SCHOOL FOR BEING A GENESIS FAN?!?!?”
Whenever i listen to Genesis (which is a LOT it’s my favorite band, i am listening to The Lamb Lies down on broadway while im trying this.) i just think, “Genesis, more like GENDER-CIS!!!!” And i hate it get it out of my head get it out get out get out get out get out
Why do they never say this?
I'm not usually one to make posts like this, but I've recently started reading the Bible (both the New Revised Standard Version Updated Edition and the King James Bible, for purposes of literary and translation comparison, and I saw something that made me pause. I want to preface this by saying I'm no sort of theology authority or even a Christian, I am merely a nerdy queer agnostic peeking around the corner.
In Genesis, there's the commonly cited passage by sexist men (and women) about man being first and woman being created to serve man:
GENESIS 2 20;The man gave names to all cattle and to the birds of the air and to every animal of the field, but for the man there was not found a helper as his partner. 21;So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then he took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. 22;And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. And Christian MAGA and right-wing and sexist people always point to it to be like "See! See! Women aren't on the same level as men!"
But what they never discuss is that this is the SECOND story of Genesis.
Early on in Genesis 2, it seems that a shift of authors occurs, or a different oral tradition is included, because the entire tone of the text changes drastically. God is never called the Lord until this change occurs, and the digital NRSVUE on Bible Gateway notes this shift explicitly.
The thing is, in the first chapter of Genesis, which details the six days of Earthly creation, there is a direct opposition to man and woman being uneven.
GENESIS 1 27;So God created humans in his image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
Male AND Female. At the same time. Neither subservient to the other, neither greater or lesser. And this is a single chapter behind the cited passage. What's more, both man and woman are in the image of God, meaning that God has both male and female aspects, and separated humans accordingly (possibly arbitrarily) for an unknown reason.
Y'all. God canonically has boobs and a dick.
What's more: Why do we refer to God as a he? Why would he care? Did gendered pronouns even exist in his language before we assigned them to him? WHY WON'T "CHRISTIANS" WHO CITE THE BIBLE FOR EVERYTHING ACKNOWLEDGE THIS??
