At first I only wanted to draw little sketches, but then I found her pretty challenging to draw/design so I took this more seriously. The hard part in fact, is designing proper gestures and poses for her and at the same time trying to make her structure look comfortable and believable. The result came out so much better than I expected, and I'm so proud of the drawing. I mean I've made some actual improvements and the character does look fine! 😏
I suppose that I redesigned a little bit. 😂I personally prefer to simplify characters and to draw structures like this. 😁😁😁
It took me about 2~3h to finish the pic (including the tiny words).
Gigi's wings aren't really darker than her body. I drew her like this in order to let others see her structure (body?🙄) clearly.

Wings of The Ravens
Okay, I finally decide to introduce my project "渡鸦之翼" here on Tumblr as well. If you have talked to/discussed with me about it or if you've seen my works on other platforms, you probably know some info already. I also include some simple info of "how I think/work" when working on the project in this blog.
And I am sorry for the grammar mistakes and sorts of problems here! 😂
渡鸦之翼, the current English translation to it is Wings of The Ravens (WOTR for short). It's not really the name of the AU, instead, it's the title of the graphic novel / project. But regarding the title as the name of the AU is more convenient for me to mention and talk about it.
It's inspired by TUE, but definitely NOT about TUE. DP is a PG-13(FV) show, and what I'm writing is a graphic novel (probably PG-13 or PG-14), so there're lots of differences between the AU and the origin in many aspects. I am doing my best to make the AU reasonable, with a set of rules that make sense (hopefully😂) in some ways. In addition, I don't follow every rule and don't use many of the concepts from DP. I tend to make WOTR feels more… original, but still recognizable, which really requires a lot of effort and devotion. 😂
Apart from expressing my love towards DP, I also want to learn and take a deeper look at drawing, fiction writing (story telling), translation, as well as practising the skills related. I will convey my opinions on many things, discuss problems/ topics about life, nature and so on. And this is a good chance for me to communicate with various people… Another important thing is that working on WOTR helps me learn how to work on my completely original projects.
Basic Info of The AU Where WOTR Takes Place:
It's kind of peaceful, compared to the original. People live normal/regular lives and nobody is too powerful. Anything like the damages to the worlds showed in TUE (or things like that) aren't possible to happen.
No Reign Storm.
Characters wouldn't be completely good/ evil. Villains are called villains usually because there are conflicts of interests between them and the main characters.
Danny is separated into two, and the situation is similar to that in TUE. But the "human" lives, he's one of the narrators. I call him Daniel in order to differ him from the halfa Danny and the ghost "created" by Danny and Vlad…
Most canon characters are OOC, compared to their origins. It's an AU and I don't bother making characters act exactly like the original.
Ghost Zone is a world, and a "transfer station" (similar to some concepts from my other projects). It's not regarded as a dimension and is not as chaotic as the original.
Ghosts aren't one "species". They don't follow one set of rules particularly despite of the basic rules of the world (they're from/in). Like, Walker's rules don't work for everyone. And he only takes care of the special ones who're in his range of power, and doesn't look for others' troubles.
Are ghosts dead people's souls here? I don't really care. They are more like creatures/ aliens here, and sometimes, can even be machines and a freaking island/ mountain. "Ghost" is just a name anyway… (But the so-called living ones can be the ones who are actually, dead. ☺)
"Ghosts are evil" is nonsense! ?😒
Creatures/ objects from the Earth are aliens (or probably "ghosts") to GZ, and earth creatures can be very dangerous to ghosts sometimes.
There're other "worlds" as well. And there are other fantasy creatures.
Time for the more detailed info about WOTR!
The most important rule of fiction writing doesn't allow me to talk much about characters (not to mention the plots!), so there's only some pretty simple (shallow) stuff here.
I often redesign the canon characters. The redesigns for many of the canon characters is basically changing their outfits and only a bit of their physical appearances, since I want them to be pretty recognizable. Some important characters are reset in some ways. For some characters who aren't really noticeable in DP, they might be changed a lot or even be completely reset.
There are more than one narrator, which is really hard to handle. But it provides reliable views to readers to know/ understand situations, considering that some narrators aren't being honest all the time, or sometimes being too subjective and emotional. Though I don't switch the narrators all the time of course!
The major stories are about Danny's (and his "counterpart"'s) freaking (daily?) life(s).

Daniel represents Danny's "human half". In early concepts, I said that "He's a human!", but now, I have to correct that. He REPRESENTS the human half, (and he is regarded as the human) which means he doesn't have to be an actual one. He looks basically the same to Danny, except for some little details. There's another design for Daniel, which is an symbolic image. The obvious difference is that he now has a pair of "wings", which are technically NOT wings, and I call them 类翼体 ("Wing-like things" is the closest translation I can think of). The wing-like things serve as a symbol/ symbols, meaning that they don't have to be sth "real". Though I still designed a functional structure for them. When Daniel's winged, he acts a bit… different. So it's okay if you say he's another (another?) counterpart of Danny.

Jazz, Sam and Tucker are alive and well. (I don't see why they should be dead…) Their characters in the show are sometimes… weird… I want them to have some better reasons for most of their actions and have some actual developments. And the designs… Sam's outfit just can't look that similar to that of Danny! And, there's Valerie! There's got to be Valerie! Another kiddo who is really fun to draw—— the ghost "created" by Danny and Vlad. Let's just call him Dan. This wonderful child is absolutely OOC (but I have no regret and I can explain anyway). The original design (and concepts/ settings) is awesome, but it isn't suitable for WOTR.

The Art and Story Telling
WOTR is a graphic novel, so I use storyboads to show events and scenes. I try to use the ways of fiction writing (literary novels and sorts) to tell stories and I also learn and use methods of story telling from movies/films, TV series, news, comics, illustration books and many other forms of stories. Of course I read graphic novels, and they are really inspiring!
As for the drawings, I always try my best to make okay/fine stuff. My basic is not good. But I am learning and working to get better!
Art style isn't one of the most important things when actually drawing, so I usually don't bother to worry about it. Although, in my opinion, art styles can be really helpful to story telling. So I will switch the style obviously if the plot needs (or when I want to). But anyway, my art will still be my art, the same goes to my writing.
I don't usually stick to DP style completely. When I imitate sth that's because I think that sth looks nice and it can be handled. In addition, the ways I design characters (including OCs) might look a bit similar to DP's…
The main stories are always digital art.
Dialogues are particularly difficult to write. They play an really important role… The good thing is that I don't have to tell everything (not literally) through dialogues like the original show (and most movies/ TV series), so in this case, it will be more like literary fictions, which means it has the advantage of letting readers to discover/ think more by themselves.
Less dialogues (telling) is difficult for me to write and organise the storyboads, but it reduce the pressure of translation, which is a big problem I have to face.
Languages and Translation
For most phans who writes fics and/ or makes comics, translation isn't even sth they would need to consider. However, it is a real thing here.
WOTR(the main stories!) will originally be in Chinese (Mandarin), and now I'm certain that I will make (at least) TWO language versions for WOTR (the main stories), one in Chinese and another one in English. You know, sometimes I have to make THREE versions (usually the conceptual contents and stuff aside from the main stories…) (okay, I now sometimes prefer to write in Cantonese… But it's so hard to translate… ).
I will try my best to translate contents into English when some certain part is finished writing. And I need actual help indeed.
Not all dialogues will be translated.

I think the concept of ghost speak is interesting. It would be fun if there were ghost speak in WOTR, but that would take too much time for me to figure it out (I'm not too interested in it anyway). So there isn't ghost speak. Still, I want to use sth that has a similar effect. You see, I prefer not to write/ draw some pretty but meaningless/random scribbles, so I will use actual language(s) (or to be exact, actual writing systems and fonts). Honestly, I can just use my native language as well as using some strange fonts. The words look just like little drawings/ scribbles. And there're codes! The simple ones of course! And don't worry, the dialogues that won't be translated shouldn't be a big problem while reading! Because they only take up a very small part of the textual contents and aren't very very important info… (They are usually spoken by my OCs… Besides, using codes is fun…)

I want to post WOTR to Deviant Art once I have finished the pages of first two or three chapters. I haven't finished writing (/drawing) WOTR, and I find that I cannot access DA without a VPN now! Don't understand why it is also blocked, which really bothers me.
There's another platform called Lofter, to which I will certainly post WOTR. On Lof, DP isn't as well-known as it is here, but at least the situation isn't that bad. But I think the platform isn't friendly to browsers who don't use its APP.
I will try to post more info and concepts about WOTR as well as my other projects and stuff. If possible, I might post the graphic novel here, too. I really would love to share my works and be more active here, but it really really depends.
I've heard that the fire wall will update soon, and when it's done, most VPNs won't work anymore, which means it will be extremely difficult for me to access many international media platforms/ websites like Tumblr and Instagram (and please not DA! ). I don't know when will that happen… But you can still find me on other platforms anyway…

This is the FIRST script(/draft) of the beginning of chapter one from my (graphic novel) Wings of The Ravens.
I didn't even give the novel an actual name (there was only the number of the AU) when I made this, and you see this "comic" is kind of old… Just look at the dates on the pictures.
The Ghost Portal model I made earlier was originally made for this, but it was still pretty hard to draw BG even with its "help" at that time. 😂
I thought I could start making pages, but the reality was that I wasn't ready. Things weren't clear at all, and I was busy and my skills of drawing/writing/story telling weren't good enough. So I stopped to learn and prepare.

Luckily you cannot really know what's going on in the comic if you haven't read the story, and anyway I didn't make the complete plot into graphics. 🙄
I changed and fixed some of the things (the dialogues are the most obvious), so it has some differences compared to the original description. But it doesn't really matter.
I know that when turning textual contents into visual stuff (I mean like pictures, animations, films and so on), lots of things from the original will be missing. And all I could do was to do my best to retell it...
Fortunately it looks fine and I really like the result. I lover how I captured every character's features and expressions...
I didn't use uppercase letters for every word. Does this matter? 😐
It took me almost a month to complete the page (it wasn't like I can work on this every day), but it's worthwhile. I think it was the preparation that took the most of the time. 😐
Many of the things needed me to imagine, like the characters' position, their gestures and expressions, and… They aren't mentioned in the fic since it isn't necessary but the situation is totally different in drawings. 😂(I didn't discuss any of these things with the author, though we did talk about writing blocks)
And as a result, I had made a few sketches of storyboads which showed different perspectives (or sth like that). And I tried and changed them in order to find a nice way to tell the event,😂 and finally there's one fine version.
And there're only 6 panels left. I wanted to put more into one page but failed. There were supposed to be 3 more panels but in this case, it was too hard for me to organise the last 4 or 5 panels, so I just quit drawing those three.
Also, I don't usually draw Jack or Maddie, so I rewatched some scenes from the show and did some study (kind of). And I personally think they look okay here. 😝

I finally drew little Dan in his "original clothes" for the first time.
THAT SUIT! FOR THE FIRST TIME.
I don't like to draw that hazmat suit. I think it doesn't suit little Dan… 😂And it reminds me that in TUE, Danny Phantom is supposed to become a terrifying "murderer", which is really creepy. I still prefer casual clothes… But I have to draw, and I will have to draw more of this image, because this is sth that will appear in my novel. And it's probably a good chance for me to do some "character design".
Another reason that I didn't draw this image before, is that I thought I couldn't handle it, so I waited for a "perfect" moment to try. (Also, I was avoiding…)
Personally think the drawing came out pretty fine, better than I thought. I suppose I actually have some improvements.
Conceptual things😂…
His ghostly energy (special effect🙄) could be pink(from dear uncle Vlad☺). Or sometimes it would be mixed with a few colours. I think it could be(I want it to be) sth pretty and cute/gentle, not that creepy or "deadly". 😊
His "parents" are irresponsible(at first?…at some points??). But they think they are at least doing something. They(usually, only one of them) look for little Dan and try to obligate him. Though they prefer to avoid mentioning or meeting Dan. ☺They really don't want anything bad happen, so maybe they could only do things in the most effective way(s) they know…
Do you think I always draw characters with "not so happy" faces? （If you've seen some of my works on other platforms）
It's a fact that many characters are often seem to be unhappy in my drawings. It just feels more realistic to me. I like to do that, and it has sth to do with myself… I am often like😂😂😂 or 😐😕😠😒😞😢. (The novel doesn't focus on "really happy" stories anyway)
Also, in some ways, everyone in this AU is weaker than the original… I weaken them so that conflicts might be easier to handle. 🙄 (Am I the only one who doesn't really like seeing Danny to be too powerful? )

Steve, who made a move on Eddie right after they first met and Eddie, having known Steve's reputation way longer than he knows Steve gets a little cold feet, gets scared he's going to be just a fun little adventure before Harrington goes on to marry a girl his parents approve of.
And even then, he knows he won't survive Steve Harrington if Steve decides he doesn't want Eddie anymore. Can't handle things between them being just casual, so when Steve makes a move, Eddie turns him down. Gently.
He doesn't say it's because he doesn't think Steve will stick to his newly discovered bisexuality. Doesn't explain to him that he thinks maybe being around Buckley and himself is making Steve a little confused.
Just says they are better off friends. And for a while, they stay friends. The best of friends.
Steve is sad, at first. He's always looking at Eddie with puppy eyes that are hard to resist, but eventually, he starts moving on.
He starts going on dates again. And Eddie doesn't feel so shitty anymore. Steve's going to find a nice girl to marry and they are going to be friends forever. All is right in the world.
Except.
Except Steve comes to weekly dinner one night with his arms wrapped around a guy. And the guy... he looks a hell lot like Eddie.
Long hair, though his is knotted on the top of his head. Eyeliner and black clothes
Chains and a big Metallica tattoo peeking out from his t-shirt. It's impossible not to notice the resemblance, but Steve pretends not to.
But Eddie can't unsee it. And as Steve's relationship evolves, so does Eddie's feeling that he has made a big, big mistake.
Or; Steve starts to date a metalhead and Eddie is miserable because he doesn't understand why not him.
Steve gets a tattoo.
Eddie knows that cling film plaster patch anywhere. The thing is, no one is talking about it. Steve just shows up at the next get together with his damn bicep wrapped and NO ONE says a word.
So Eddie doesn't either, still too tentative in their friendship.
No one elaborates, no one mentions it. Days turn to weeks, and Eddie learns to ignore the burning question he has. They're still as close as ever, but he never does actually catch a glimpse of that tattoo.
He almost forgets about it.
Until he's on stage.
He's finally made it on stage, with his boys beside him, he's finally getting back his life, better than even before the bats had tried to take him out.
He's just adjusting his guitar, tweaking the strings, when he looks up into the crowd Jeff is hyping up and sees him.
There, amidst the crowd is Steve. Though for a second, Eddie can't recognise him.
His hair is styled differently, a faux hawk with the sides pressed down. Bold black-lined eyes peer up at him, crinkling at the sides as Steve smiles.
He's got on the leather jacket he and Eddie had thrifted a month ago, only the sleeves are gone, ripped off to show his arms, his guns. Boy are they guns, holy shit he loves Steve Harrington's arms.
Except, something breaks his line of vision, a streak of black along the skin.
Steve's not so far from the stage that Eddie can't see it. In fact, it's big enough that it's all Eddie can see right then.
Red and black glisten on that bicep, mimicking the very guitar he's holding, crossed over with that nailed bat that he's all too familiar with.
He looks up at Steve again and the fucker blows a kiss at him, as if he's not wearing a fishnet mesh under the leather vest and he doesn't have Eddie's guitar melded onto his skin.
Eddie plays the best damn show of his life.
He's got a boy to ask out after.

KH OC week 2024 - Day 7: Future.
Hajime is seeking knowledge, he is amazed at how little we know about the worlds, about the essence of people's hearts, about everything that surrounds us. For him, this topic is special. He would like to not only study, but also share new knowledge with others, which is why Hajime will become Ansem the Wise apprentice and will study in detail all the reports, books and all kinds of information. Many may call him a bookworm, but he will start carrying books with him because in his free time this is his favorite pastime. You can always ask Hajime about anything, and if he suddenly does not know the answer, he will not calm down now, he must know, and this will fill his thoughts for the next few weeks.
For some of Ansem's apprentices, he can even seem clingy despite his gloomy nature. He is especially attached to Ienzo, because he seems to be the only one who always condescendingly treat Hajime's clinginess.
In short: Hajime studies a lot, and sometimes others have to bring him back to reality because the boy gets lost due to his hunger for knowledge in books.

KH OC week 2024 - Day 5: Unique The Power Within.
Basic weapon
Hajime is a keyblade wielder.
For now I only have these sketches of his keyblade, still thinking about the design. Most likely it will change as story goes on. His keyblade will have a big plus in magic and a small plus in strength. This keyblade is long, the attack can be at a longer distance.
As you can see in the sketches, the keyblade refers to Hajime's real origin (Unversed). But for some reason I'm still not entirely sure about this decision. And yes, the chains also make sense in his design, I think it's not hard to guess why.
Magic
Hajime himself is more like a mage role in the party cause he inclined to magic. Even when attacking with a keyblade, the presence of magic is often noticeable in normal attacks.
In game, Hajime would always have a higher MP bar than HP bar. Therefore, Hajime is more focused on preventing damage and is comfortable for him keeping the enemy at a distance.
Easy to use + high resistance: Blizzard, Thunder, Gravity.
Difficult to use + low resistance: Fire, Aero.
Later, Hajime will show himself as an excellent tactician who can use almost anything around him to his advantage, including the help and strength of his party members. However, Hajime is still more like a lone wolf type of a fighter, so he is bad at supporting party members, but he is already useful in improvement the outcome of the battle in favor of his party through his tactics.

KH OC week 2024 - Day 4: Dream Past.

Hajime is an experiment of one of Ansem the Wise's apprentices - Even. This experiment with Unversed was hidden from others and was inspired by Ansem the Wise's research, and later by the interest of one of the other apprentices, Xehanort.
???
The experiment was only half successful: the successful part is that the Unversed now has a human form and the subject has a heartbeat, but the heart rate was much lower than normal. The unsuccessful part is that the subject was in a coma.
Even considered the experiment a failure, as he believed "the heart failed to take hold". Hajime was left in the same room where he was created, and all reports of this failure were destroyed. Even concluded that Hajime would likely die after a while with such a low heart rate, either from complete cardiac arrest or some other dysfunction of an imperfect heart or a weak body. Several times after that, the scientist came to make sure, but the heart still beat at its own rhythm, it seemed strange, but it still did not give hope and after some time it was forgotten and erased from memory as an unsuccessful attempt at experiments with the heart.
II
While the Hajime's body was left to die naturally, something was happening inside him that would make him the character we would later know. He was about to take a long, arduous journey through the blurry horizons of his own heart.
Even, and at that time Vexen, will not know that the experiment was successful after all and after 10 years Unversed, gifted with a heart, will finally awaken from sleep.

Zane’s funny switch got damaged at some point so his emperor self is much more animated and unpredictable. When Vex tried to manipulate him after taking the throne Zane froze him for being a buzzkill
While not trying to genocide the residents of the nether realm he’s still generally cruel towards them and apathetic to their needs like “food” and “shelter. He freezes anyone who displeases him and uses their frozen bodies as interior decor
Humans are especially worthless to him, they’re so fragile but don’t even have a cool power like formlings
Has a fascination with ninja and is delighted to find out about Lloyd at first, even wants to meet him personally. But the more green boy insists he needs to stop playing snow dictator the less amusing he finds the situation
Randomly calls things by the ninja’s names, typically animals or ice creatures he’s created
Prone to angry outbursts and bouts of uncontrollable laughter. Bro thinks he’s the funniest thing since sliced bread
Boreal is more of a giant puppy to him, sort of his parallel to gunter
Body parts and smaller stuff like screws fall off all the time, to which he just puts it back on with some ice
