South Dublin Life Drawing Exhibition

I am taking part in the South Dublin Life Drawing Exhibion at Ranellagh Arts Centre, 26 Ranellagh Rd, Ranellagh, Dublin 6 running until 16th April. Last night, I attended the opening which was packed. Sandra.

Gallery Zozimus

Last Thursday, I attended the opening of Ostinelli and Priest’s exhibition ‘Animal Magic’ at Gallery Zozimus, 56 Francis Street, Dublin 8. I liked their more minimalist pieces like ‘Class Act’, ‘Charlotte Grey’ and ‘Rhino’. These pieces represent a greyhound, horse and rhino respectively. Their exhibition runs until 31st May. Classy.

Richard Gorman at the Kerlin

I had also attended the opening of Richard Gorman's exhibition 'Dalkey' at the Kerlin Gallery. His colourful paintings, executed in oil on linen, were full of energy. I couldn't pick a favourite painting. Richard's exhibition will run until 9th April 2020 at the Kerlin Gallery, Anne's Lane, South Anne Street and Lane and Street, Dublin 2.

Van der Grijn at the Solomon

Tonight, I attended the opening of Cléa Van der Grijns exhibition 'Orbiva at Solomon Fine Art, Balfe Street, Dublin 2 D02 T802.

Her paintings, mixed media on linen or wood are colorful especially the reds and pinks. My favorite painting was Boschian Lush #2 featuring two hearts or arms.

In 'Boschian Lush #3' which I also loved, I saw the bottom half of a dancer.

Cléa has also created a series of eight digital embroideries including 'Boschian Lush #1', top left.

It was a very enjoyable evening. Well worth the effort of going. Cléa's exhibition will run onto 29th Mar 2025.

Charles Tyrrell at Taylor Galleries

Last night, I attended the opening of Charles Tyrrell's exhibition at the Taylor Galleries, 16 Kildare Street, Dublin 2 D02 XF75. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The venue was packed creating a lively atmosphere. I loved all the paintings and drawings on view. My favorite artwork was the large red painting on the first floor called CG1.23, 2023. Charles's exhibition called 'New Paintings' will run until 9th June 2023.
