I just had this thought, what if in the dream, Buck is near the scene when Eddie gets shot. He's running over there, pushing people as he goes, when all of a sudden he stops and looks down. There's a bullet hole where his heart is. He crumples to the ground right next to Eddie. They stare at each other as they reach out to link their hands, staying like that as they both lose consciousness. In real life, Buck is flat lining as he saw that he couldn't save Eddie or himself since he wasn't a firefighter. He wakes up after.

Hold up, what if it's not Bathena's house burning down, not Buck's loft burning down, but a third and more sinister option, the firehouse burns down (probably won't but 🤷‍♀️)
