I can write down a few words and make people thousands of miles away, whom I have never met and will never meet, laugh tears of joy and cry tears of true sorrow for people who do not exist and have never existed and never will exist. If that isn't actual literal magic I don't know what is.

i had these fairytales on VHS tape as a kid and was endlessly fascinated by the horror-esque art style that is so clearly the work of an artist that is fucking haunted by their own mind.

really explains a lot about me as an artist.

Beauty and the Beast | Adaptions | Britannica’s Tales Around the World

This animated children’s educational series by the company behind the Encyclopedia Britannica presented one well-known fairy tale each episode, accompanied by two lesser known international versions of the same story.

The 1990 premiere episode featured a nine-minute short version of “Beauty and the Beast”, as well as the Chinese counterpart “The Chinese Parrot” and the Inuit story “Sedna”. The series is close to the original story, and also has a very scary-looking Beast.

The Rest is Silence - Smut War fic!

Crowley’s hands are bound by a pale tartan bowtie, stretched above his mussed red crown of hair. His chest expands, lungs like bellows, exhaling hot bursts into the air of the empty shop. His jeans were miracled carelessly away to leave him straining in black silk pants. The Angel’s hands have not yet closed around their prize but it twitches in anticipation of their journey. 

Aziraphale’s mouth is busy sucking lewd bruises into Crowley’s lean inner thigh. His thick fingers knead at the tight muscles as they flex, slung over his broad shoulders. The Angel’s shirt is unbuttoned where the tie sat moments before, sleeves rolled to the elbows. He is otherwise comparatively clothed. The bulge below his waist presses insistently, uncomfortably, at the seam of his trousers. But it is an afterthought, a mere distraction. 

The ache of his arousal is an aperitif and the Demon spread out on the desktop is the meal.

This is a painting I did four years ago from LIVE REFERENCE, which is a crazy thing to get to do. Well...

I did the sketch from live reference, and then took a heap of pictures of the most gorgeous tiger that hung out right beside me for about an hour, on the far side of some very, very thick lexan at a public zoo.

Shamelessly reblogging my flapper fem aziracrow because I was looking at this painting last night and thinking how adorable Aziraphale is. This is one of the paintings I'm most proud of.

i have brought her laughing (to my quietly dreaming garden) ------------------------------ The scene: A smoky, velvet-lined speakeasy smudged carelessly somewhere in the pocket of a roaring, glittered New York City, 1924, nighttime. Prohibition is on, but the law books never really dissuade anyone from getting a drink, not if they know where to go. It sure as Hell doesn't stop Crowley from taking her Angel out for a drink, because Aziraphale wanted one. And hey, it's the jazz age, Crowley knows where to get weed again.

This painting is one half of a collaboration I did with my dear friend @thescholarlystrumpet, who wrote a fantastic companion piece on AO3 (Rated M, mind the drug use tag).

“I got something else to liven up your final night in town. If you’re feeling a little… daring.” Crowley looked sidelong at Aziraphale and arched one penciled-on brow. Aziraphale wiggled happily and slid off the stool to sidle closer, until her head was practically on the Demon’s bare shoulder. “Do tell.”  Crowley tried not to shiver as she could feel the Angel’s breath against her heated skin, smell the heady potpourri of perfume, wine, and a pinch of ethereal sweat, taste it on her (currently unforked) tongue. She held up the expertly rolled joint between two fingers accented by red painted talons. “It’s been a very long time, I think, since we really… indulged.” Turning her head just so, nearly nose to nose with her friend. “Don’t you think we’ve earned it?” “Why, you wicked temptress,” Aziraphale murmured, her voice low and slightly breathless, sly smile belying any hint of admonishment.

Just in time for the /r/GOAD smut war and I'm not even drawing smut! Look at me, being a contrarian. This is a gift for the GOMM Holiday Exchange on Discord for @queenofthecute! Her prompt for the exchange was: "Aziraphale & Crowley and the intimate tenderness of a kiss on the hand/fingers/wrist," which I was only too happy to oblige. What a sweet prompt!

I LOVE painting Ultraginger Freckled Crowley (TM). It's frankly a sickness at this point.

I'm also learning how to efficiently paint certain things that I used to render totally by hand, and this piece let me practice several materials, namely gold metallics (Aziraphale's pinky ring and fob/chain) and silver metallics (Crowley's slutty little scarf).

That didn't sound like a real thing, Aziraphale thought, but he did not voice his concern. Claiming that snexism wasn't real sounded exactly like something a snexist would say.

HERE I GO PAINTING SNAKE SHIT AGAIN. Painted for the fabulous legal_chipmunk_2095 as part of the GOAD Secret Santa exchange. Chipmunk wanted snakey Crowley and monsterfucking, so I obliged.

Can I be so for realsies for a minute I don't even think Crowley is Masc either (at least in the show). In my heart of hearts he's BUTCH which is a different thing from being A Masculine Straight-Passing Man. Crowley would get called a metrosexual in 2003 for wearing jeans that fit you people are Not going to pretend like he can "pass"
