[Start ID. Two drawings of the same person, humanoid but with honey bee wings, antennae, and miscellaneous other traits. The first one was drawn December 25, 2020, two years ago, and the second is a redraw from just before the time of posting. In the first drawing, the person faces the camera, holding a cup of tea, posed against a blank background. She wears a fluffy top and boots, her entire character in golden tones. The second drawing keeps similarities with the first, but her vague outfit has been changed to a jacket and sweatpants, and she is waving to the viewer and smiling warmly, with the text "TWO YEARS" behind her in green. It has only been five hours,

i caved

A Vessel who managed to survive the initial fall into the Abyss, escaping into and wandering around Deepnest where they eventually reached the Queen's Gardens via a Stag tunnel, stealing from the corpses of traitor Mantises.

Born partially armless, though a pre-Gardens accident fractured their mask and shell, causing the void-weeping shown in their later form. On how they lived long enough to reach said form, I'm not sure if vessels actually need to eat--if they do at all it would probably be something like consuming soul or possibly void, rather than solid living material, and either way there's enough food in Hallownest if you're willing to kill for it.

Wait I did plan to post pre-Tumblr art, and this wouldn't require much explanation (much less specifically relating to worldbuilding) so here we are:

Gave my somewhat-old Hollow Knight OCs a new ref

Since all the text on that is annoying to list in alt text, or if my handwriting is too hard to read, here it is below instead (paraphrased/edited a bit):

To the right of Hawksbeard reads “Hawksbeard, he/him, Grasshopper, Mosskin”, text to the right of Molini is “Molini, she/her, Millipede”, and to the left of Caramel reads “Caramel, she/her, Carpenter Bee”. Hawksbeard’s section notes that both his fluff and mask are removable though he never takes off his mask, he can jump absurdly high (around eight times his height), he always spends his time alone by experimenting, recording, or collecting, and he lives in Kingdom’s Edge. Molini’s section notes that her face is in fact an actual face and not a mask, her eyes glow, she lost the left arm on her third non-head segment down, and she lives in the Ancient Basin. Caramel’s section notes that her wings are frayed, she can take her mask off but also usually doesn’t, she earned the mantis claw from a Traitor Hunt with her sisters and has been fighting with it since, and she lives in the Queen’s Gardens.

Though it’s been a year since I was active in that fandom I do have the urge to draw WoF stuff, I just don’t know how to cater to my newly found “everything has to be anatomically accurate” side without thoroughly disregarding canon
