My take on pregame saiou is that they were wholesome BFFs with secret crushes on each other that just didn't know how to communicate.

More thoughts under the cut:

Kokichi's motivations for sticking around Shuichi's dorky ass might've been mercenary at first but, over time, he'd learn that Shuichi is just a genuine nerd who is incredibly smart, extremely dense, and flusters easy (basically in-game Shuichi who distracts easy and cannot read a room).

My guy just had a thing for mysteries and puzzles and DR is just like a really entertaining B-film horror show of puzzles and fake deaths (kinda how we, the fandom treat it), so it makes sense he's obsessed. He's no crazier than the average Marvel fan/Disney diehard and he's not really a stalker, just a nervous teenager who sometimes loses his nerve when trying to approach someone he wants to be friends with.

Shuichi will start to run his mouth off about DR if you get him talking about it, but I think he'd be interested in other stuff too.

Kokichi is as fake as they come, so he pretends to like DR to get close to Shuichi until they eventually bond over other mutual interest. Kokichi lies in order to keep the peace, despite his annoyance/jealousy that Shuichi's attention usually drifts to other things (mainly things that AREN'T Kokichi. Tch, the audacity am I right?) He does really care for Shuichi and Shuichi cares for him, but it's clear they don't communicate well at all.

Kokichi lies and Shuichi often gets distracted/stays passive when conflicts threaten to arise. I'm sure they both wish the other would just voice their feelings, but neither is willing to make the first move (in regards to their massive crushes, or the issues they have with their relationship). As a result, things get bottled up and it's only a matter of time before someone breaks....

part 2 bc I think that 1) kokichi would show up in the most outrageous training gear for the gag and then IMMEDIATELY change out of it for his regular outfit ((which is arguably WAY worse for exercise)) and 2) that none of them will get any actual training done

Random Encanto HCs

((I am becoming an Encanto account and I am okay with this))

- When Camilo is excited they will wave their hands around and snap (stims baby)

- If Mirabel doesn’t have her bag to fidget with she will play with her hands (ex. pulling on her fingers, rubbing her hands together, and massaging her wrists)

- Camilo befriended the rats before they figured out Bruno lived in the walls (how else did the rats just know a dramatic ass musical number)

- Dolores will squeak when she’s upset, super excited/happy, or she hears something interesting/or she shouldn’t know (stims baby!)

- Sometimes when the sound gets too much, and she’s to far from her room, Dolores will curl up with her hands over her ears and rock back and forth.

- Whenever Mariano finds her during one he just sits behind her and pulls her between his legs, so her back was to his chest, and covered her hands with his own so she had an extra layer of protection against the sounds.

- When she calms down some she’ll turn so one of her ears are one his chest and she can listen to his heartbeat, he just takes now his free hand and presses it gently against his other one to try and block out as much as he can.

- When Pepa is happy and content she will spin around and watch the fabric of her dress twirl (a habit that her children have seemed to pick up(stims baby!!))

- Camilo and Mirabel were super close as children and called each other their twin (I want to make a fic that’s basically Encanto but with Mirabel and Camilo being super close, and helping each other during the movie (also, so much room for angst))

- Luisa’s favorite color is pink (you can tear this from my cold dead hands)

- When Luisa starts to get stressed and overwhelmed from her workload, along with her eye twitching, her hands with start to shake. Before the movie she used to have panic attacks during her chores, but afterwards would try working twice as hard (I’m sure everyone has done this once, it is not good and will always have repercussions on someone’s mental and physical health. Take. Breaks.)

- Post movie, with the family keeping everyone accountable and looking out for each other, when any of the Madrigals see her overworking herself they always make sure to get her to take a break

- The first person the ‘twins’ come out to is each other (Mirabel coming out as a disaster bisexual and Camilo coming out as a genderfluid gremlin)

- Whenever Abuela used to get sad and upset and wrapped up in her memories she would hide in her room, now she goes to the family and opens up about her emotions and the pain she kept hidden for so long

- At the end of every week the family will gather in someone’s room and they would talk about their emotions and how their week was; there sometimes will be fighting, yelling and thunder, but other times there’s smiling, laughing, rainbows and horrible jokes.

- Every Madrigal (and Casita) will tap their feet (tippy tappies motherfuckers) when they get excited

- Remember in Zootopia when one wolf starts to howl and the others join, that is La Casita and the Madrigals with tapping. Once one starts they all do, even Abuela will join in (though she’s usually sitting down), just tapping and dancing. Sometimes Casita will start tapping (her) tiles in order to get the family smiling and laughing.

- PreMovie, Julieta sometimes gets so lost in cooking that she disassociates, she’ll come to hours later by Agustín gently shaking her, she’d have minor burns on her hands/fingers and her legs/feet will be sore

- Post movie, Antonio and Bruno have some of the rats, that hang around the kitchen, get whoever is closest after an hour to check on her and making sure she takes a break

- When Dolores and Isabela were kids they thought they were sisters (like the ‘twins’), after they got their powers they were still close and Isabela would cover Dolores’ ears during parties

- The first person Isabela came out to was Dolores (PreMovie, she just comes into Dolores’ room sobbing and everything spills out)

- Pepa has a vocal stim (stims baby!!!), when she’s stressed she will mumble to herself “Clear skies, clear skies”

- Along with her vocal stim, she will also brush, stroke and pull on her hair

Shuichi X Kiibo X Kokichi Headcannons

Could I request headcannos for Saikiibouma (Saihara x Kiibo x Ouma) plss???

I… My first OT3! Woo boy… This should be fun to try to write out, especially considering how each of three handles romance in my option, but overall this should be cute…! (Kokichi intensfies.)

Kiibo/Shuichi Saihara/Kokichi Ouma

Kokichi Ouma whose only way he can show how love is by being a little gremlin, then you would just have to look real deep to see if he’s being mean because he wants to tease you or to show he loves you, unless it’s one of those rare occasions which he just admit he loves you flat out.

Kiibo who feels an ounce of affection before literally asking if he can have your hand in marriage, despite having zero experience in romance whatsoever.

Then Shuichi who… who is probably the only normal one amongst the three of them, who can have a romantic partner without scaring them away.

How could these three possibly get together, much less work as a functioning couple?

Simple, lots of patience as well as the power of love.

Shuichi was the peacemaker of the group, he was the one who usually tried to help Kiibo learn more about romance, and then trying to keep Kokichi in line with his: “love”.

Shuichi was quite bashful with showing affection, Kiibo hadn’t a clue and was completely new to the prospect of it being only somewhat knowledgeable in handholding, then Kokichi… oh Kokichi…

He was the one to give the both the love they deserved as he had no problem with PDA or hell- even a speck of embarrassment towards showing it, besides their reactions were priceless so it was a score! Kiibo often reacted with overheating, then Shuichi? Shuichi often was too embrassed to react or just became like butter under his touch…

Again, Kokichi often showed his love in quite the odd ways of either teasing them playfully or simple! Touch. He added some spice to the relationship so some boundaries could be pushed, and some steps could be taken at a fast enough pace.

Kiibo was just a joy in the relationship, he praised the two of them and tried his very best to follow along despite his lack of expertise, doing the littlest things to make their days better from stuttering out quiet: “I love you” or perhaps singing for them! (Which he was awful at, but it’s the thought that counts.)

Kiibo always try his best to comfort the other two had anything seemed off, although he was bad at spotting when the two lied he could see it well enough with further enough inspection! An ball of utter joy…

The three of them together had been very rocky at start, with them needing to find an good enough pace. Not too fast, yet not too slow… but that was found easily, and after them things went smoothly.

Their relationship may seem odd to everyone else, but really they wouldn’t prefer it any other way.
