This part of why I consider Toji a pathetic man.
Look at his stupid ass face.
tfw Shiu remembered Megumi's name but his own father didn't
Chewing and gnawing on the irony One Piece continually shows with the main characters where they're doing objectively kind and helpful things and that's what gets them in trouble with the law. It's the selective application of criminal justice. The bias and room for corruption built into the system itself. It's delicious. It's horribly relevant. I'm obsessed.
I love Mexico because a mexican content creator saw Emilia Pérez, the truly atrocious way it handled mexican culture and the terrible issues of drug cartels killing and kidnapping people, and all the recognition it's getting, and she went "actually we SHOULD do something about this"
So now she's written, produced, choreographed, starred in, and directed a 30 min independent film that's basically what Emilia Pérez looks like from a mexican perspective. It's full of French stereotypes including mimes and (fake) rats everywhere, the ghost of Marie Antoinette, and Ladybug and Chat Noir.
It's an enemies to lovers rom-com, a musical, both leads are trans actors, it has three original songs, and some very VERY bad French. It follows baguette heiress Johanne Sacreblu, whose family has been challenged to a duel by a prominent croissant-making family in order to prove which type of bread best represents France. So, Johanne must battle the croissant family's son, Agtugo, in a French-ness duel to prove that baguettes truly represent French culture better than croissants.
The entire film was made from start to finish in, I believe, under a week. It's on YouTube for anyone to watch, and there is talk of it potentially being shown in some movie theaters.
Moral of the story, don't mess with Mexicans, because they will hit back and they will be funnier and better organised than you XD
I don't watch Arcane but shout out the guy who looks like a sad Victorian child on the verge of a mental crisis he seems cool.
Woah Higuruma and Nanami are your fav characters? That's so cool! On a completely unrelated note how active of a role did your father play in your childhood?
If one of your first fictional crushes wasn't a Digimon or a Yu-Gi-Oh monster then I DON'T WANNA HEAR IT 😡
Over 6 months in the making (mostly bc procrastination) but I finally compiled my Kanto Gym Leader Magazine series. I love the idea of an in-universe style fashion publication where they all do interviews about their hobbies and stuff
Want something like this for your own OC? My commissions are open!!

Reasons for Pokemon under the cut
So while aesthetics haven't been a huge part of the decision making for most of these Pokemon teams I feel that since Aira values appearances so much it'd be fitting that she specifically chose Pokemon that were either cute or pretty in a way that matches her.
Hatterene - It's got a similar silhouette to the acrobatic silky with the wide brimmed hat and it even fights using its hair like she did. I also think all the Pokedex entries about how it violently silences those who are overly emotional can go with how Aira tries to keep certain sides of her personality hidden namely the more spiteful and vindictive sides.
Tinkaton - Like Hatterene, it's cute and pretty yet is still unabashedly dangerous. Plus it's got more of a gremlin energy to it which definitely matches the other sides of Aira's personality. I like to think Tinkaton's the Pokemon she'd use the most when picking fights with Momo.
Jigglypuff - If there's any Pokemon that has main character syndrome it's definitely Jigglypuff with how it constantly wants to show off it's skills in singing and immediately gets upset whenever it feels under appreciated.
Gardevoir - I wanted a Pokemon that referenced the sacrifice Acrobatic Silky made for Aira and initially I chose Kangaskhan but I felt that it literally a mother that would give anything for it's child was a bit too unsubtle so I went with Gardevoir instead. Many Pokedex entries describe how Gardevoir will devote it's life to it's trainers and will do anything to protect them so it fits as well.
Tsareena - It fights using it's strong legs and powerful stomps similar to the acrobatic kicks and flips Aira's able to do while in her silky form. It's also takes heavy design inspiration from royalty which matches how high and mighty Aira believes herself to be.
Stufful - It's specifically based on stuffed animals which fits how childish Aira still is and it's incredibly dangerous with how monstrous it's strength is. It's got a similar chaotic energy to it that Tinkaton does too.
