While it’s important to remember that money and material items aren’t going to solve all of our problems, being financially stable and comfortable can help you focus more on your spirituality by allowing you the freedom to practice more often. Manifestation is probably my strongest area of expertise when it comes to energy work. I opened my business in October of 2020 and was making around $100 a month until January of 2021 when I really started focusing heavily on the power of positive thought, and I made $10,000 in revenue that month simply by writing down that I would do so.
The following are some of my favorite and most successful methods of using and manipulating the universe’s energy for my own benefit:
🔮 Be sure of your resources! Manifestation is real and it is powerful! The universe can do some pretty amazing things. However, before you begin your practice, it’s important to be sure that you have a source through which prosperity can be achieved. You are asking the universe for money, but how is it going to fulfill your entreaty? Do you own a business? Do you make and sell artwork? Do you have a job where raises or tips are a possibility? Have you entered a giveaway or started a fundraiser? While it’s possible to receive money out of nowhere, it is far less likely than if there is an accessible source through which you are able to receive.
🔮 Writing Sentences! This has by far been my most rewarding action, and it’s also something so simple that many people fail to acknowledge it’s power. Grab a journal, green if you can find one, along with a (preferably) green pen. Cleanse and consecrate these tools, then sit with them for a while and set your intention for their use. Once or twice a day, write a full page, front and back, of what it is you’d like to attract. The trick is to write as if these things are already yours. Some examples could be:
I am blessed with an abundance of wealth.
I am grateful for my financial stability.
I always have the money I need.
I am constantly advancing in my career.
🔮 Daily Affirmations! Make it a point to start and end each day looking in the mirror and telling yourself how successful and wonderful you are. Self-love is a great way to increase the power of our spell work. If we are constantly assuring ourselves of how magical and powerful we really are, our abilities never cease to grow. Here are some helpful affirmations for abundance and financial growth:
I am wealthy.
I am a powerful manifestor.
I attract money with ease.
I am a naturally gifted witch.
🔮 Stop limiting yourself with your own beliefs! This one is definitely the most important, and maybe the most difficult, of all. The number one key to a successful path whether it be manifestation, spell work, meditation, or ANYTHING related is to BELIEVE that all that you are saying is true, and all that you are doing is going to be successful. If you don’t have total faith in the universe and yourself, you will never achieve your desires. Take time to meditate and let go of any and all self-doubt. Look to your peers for inspiration. Accept it as a self-evident truth that energy is all around us, and the universe is inviting you to use that energy to create the reality you most desire.
Whatever method you choose, remember to keep a positive mindset. Through the power of positive thought, nearly everything is attainable. Remember to love yourself, be grateful for what you DO have, and keep the faith.
Transitions between the Wheel (For the four seasons)
This is from my personal practice with observing the wheel of the year and my focus on each transition between the sabbats. I honor the current seasons in between. Each transition has it’s importance to self care and managing the home and garden. I will probably add to this later cause some paragraphs I wrote I feel like are a bit vague. Some of these transitions are not meant to be 100% literal and static but I feel like they are good areas to focus on for that moment in the year.
Yule->Imbolc Resting
During the thick of winter when it’s too cold to do anything and always dark, it’s the perfect moment in the year to rest. The focus is on relaxing, taking extra time to sleep and care for the body especially to not get sick. Winter is also ‘spa’ season because the air is so dry and harsh it’s a good time to soak in hot baths and scrub away dead skin and moisturize with protective lotion. Do not try to make new plans, yet sit home, rest and reflect.
Imbolc -> Ostara Cleansing
When winter thaws it’s a great time to clean the home and prepare for spring. Personally, I also like to do a body cleanse since I tend to eat a lot of processed (yet delicious ;-;) foods all year round. This also makes up for all the heavy foods I’ve been eating since Summer (all the BBQs) to Winter comfort foods. As I clean the home and get rid of stuff that has accumulated over the year, I clean the body. Also the focus is on cleaning the home as well. Breathing in the same air, especially if its full of dust, is really unhealthy and it’s good as the days are getting a little warmer to open up the windows for a few minutes to allow in fresh air to circulate. This is also the time of year I throw out old furniture, accumulated things and rearrange furniture in the room as well.
Ostara -> Beltane Sowing
Spring is a great time to germinate sprouts along with other seeds and clean the backyard or garden to grow plants. If you like to compost it’s a time to start mixing in the vegetable/fruit/plant scraps with the soil. Spring is also a great time to sow bigger changes in life as well. Something about the warm new season brings an air of flirtatiousness and ‘socialness’ that makes it perfect for making new friends or finding a partner. (Probably because people can finally come out of hibernation). It’s also a fantastic time to work on your image and portfolio and apply for long term jobs that begin in the summer or fall. Spring is the season for new beginnings and putting long term plans into action.
Beltane -> Litha Growing
A tradition I like to do on Beltane is repotting of plants and gardening. Repotting plants is a tradition I try to focus on every year because it’s very easy for house plants to die due to dead soil. Plus it makes the inside of the house super vibrant and lively to have fresh new soil in pots. From this point to summer solstice is the point of growth. Growth in the garden but also growth of personal goals. May and June feel like hectic months where there are so many events and opportunities to advance your work or change your social scene, that if I am not personally progressing, I focus all of my attention on my growth.
Litha -> Lughnasadh Thriving
Its the heat of summer! It’s time to get out and feel the intense hot energy and use its power to focus on goals and networking! Where I am there’s usually an exciting event every week where it’s an opportunity to make more connections and meet more friends but also since its warm and nature is so vibrant it’s time to take some days to relax and get away to enjoy the heat and life of nature. Go to the beach, go hiking, swim in a lake, sleep under the stars. Be active since the efforts will pay off.
Lughnasadh -> Mabon Reaping
This is the time you earn what you’ve sowed both literally and metaphorically. If you have a garden its the time it will start giving back. If you are an active goer of a farmers market you will notice how beautifully abundant the stands are. If in Spring you’ve sent out tons of job applications, and in Summer got the job you’ve wanted and worked hard, then by now you should start seeing some results. If there are no results being seen it’s a time for reflection and re-strategizing. There is a second chance in this time to start again before the cold and the holiday season bulldozes through.
Mabon -> Samhain Harvesting/Gathering
This is the time to gather and harvest. Usually family tends to gather now since it’s the holiday season. There’s not much other than gathering to be done since family and holidays are bombarding you from all sides. Also there is an abundance of food. This is great to store for the next transition which is
Samhain -> Yule Preparation
This is the moment to prepare for winter. My warddrobe completely changes here, I take up knitting projects that were abandoned last Imbolc, and I store food and herbs for the winter to use. Also making preserves from things in the garden or hand knitting clothes make great presents for the winter holidays. This is also a time to prepare the garden for hibernation. Take in potted plants, harvest the last of the herbs and food (that are not potted). Make sure plants you do not want to die have a place to chill in the house.

This is your daily reminder:
Your haunted doll is not evil. She is just bored.
If anybody says you're too old to play with dolls, send your haunted doll after them.
The demon you summoned approves of this message.
I tried to do quads today! I think i had an extremely short shift or something after, I think my (phantom) shifts are more of a spectrum though, like spectrum of animal to human. Like I tried doing quads while going up the stairs and into my room, i jumped onto my sister’s messy bed that has loose sheets, and just started playing with the sheets without really thinking. Then my uncle walked in and I snapped back, he asked me some questions before leaving. Was that a shift? I mean it was more animalistic and very cat like, I’m very convinced that I’m a feline now, so it’s possible right? But i’ve only had phantom shifts so I wouldn’t know.
I’m a minor
friendly reminder that I love you
(~7 = around 7)
I remember a fanfic that did something that reminded me of ~7 year old me. What they did was they made a person alternate between hero and villain. Or sometimes-they’re-a-hero-sometimes-they’re-a-villain.
And ~7 year old me loved to take a barbie doll that was supposed to be a hero, and have her cover her face with her hair to hide her hero identity. When her hero identity was hidden, she was a villain. She’d cause trouble, get out of sight, show her hero identity and “defeat the villain”. Basically, she took credit for “defeating” herself.
This of course wouldn’t actually work in real life, mainly because in real life people don’t have super powers. The other part is because the barbie always showed herself, in the same clothes as her hero self. Another part is because it’d take too much effort.
I need to read this later

Hi there... Kind of shy about asking this so sorry if my question seems a bit all over the place. I kind of lost myself a few years back and stopped working with the goddess I was before. I've tried recently to slowly get back into my shadow work and loving myself again. Fortuna made herself known in ways I didn't expect. I think she wants to work with me but I don't think I should be working with anyone because what happened last time. How do you get over such self doubt and forgive yourself?
Hi!
please don’t worry about being shy and I apologize for taking so long to reply, my school is often very demanding of my time and my summer SADs make it hard to work in the summer. .
It is not uncommon for someone to lose a connection with gods.
I myself have experienced this on so many occasions, and it was even the reason why it took Aphrodite so long to convince me to start working with Greek Gods in the first place after I lost touch with a different pantheon.
Losing a connection with the gods is a lot more common than most followers will have you believe.
It teaches us about ourselves, our limits and the need for spiritual boundaries and clearer communication, not so much for the gods but for ourselves and how we approach the gods and expect the gods to communicate with us because everyone is different with different limits and needs.
According to the ancient Greeks, everything came from Chaos which birthed the first primordial gods: (LINK)
This is the reason why chaos tends to be a lot easier to reach, while order takes more effort.
This is also why intention is important when addressing the gods. Between the social noise of the media, personal expectations, social pressure, capitalism, surviving etc, it's easy for our thoughts to get muddled, so it's important for us to be clear about our plans with the gods so we create order within ourselves instead of letting life get a hold of us and lead us back to Chaos.
This applies to everyone but it is especially important for people who are disabled (physically, neurodivergent, a spoony with energetic limits, people that are prone to depression or anxiety which latch on to negative self talk and thus add confusion to life, etc.)
One of the main reasons why acknowledging and honoring your own limits and conditions when working with the gods is important is because not acknowledging them might affect how you view your relationship with the gods and might lead to feelings of guilt.
As someone that finds it hard to focus, I assumed I was unfit to follow a god I couldn’t even focus on and the pinching I received for having ADHD incorrectly taught me that "my disability was bad and unfit for gods."
I didn't deconstruct my christian expectations, and accidently carried those same expectations with me when I started working with pagan gods and assumed I was never going to be able to work with pagan gods for the same reason.
It took me a while and a lot of self reflection to accept that paying attention to gods was going to be a lot more difficult for me, versus someone who was neurotypical.
One of my personal boundaries with the gods is asking them to patiently repeat something I forgot they said or gently guide me back to something I forgot to do.
The gods are a lot more patient than I'll ever be able to explain.
It's also possible that any guilt you experience could have potentially come from personal expectations that were not met. These kinds of expectations are common and have the potential to lead followers into developing imposter syndrome:
Imposter syndrome manipulates one into assuming they are not good enough to work with the gods, or have them wonder why the gods are bothering with them in the first place. Or have them worry that they might be bothering the gods.
It also encourages them to assume they are not doing enough to keep the gods happy and forces them to go beyond their limits.
Failure becomes inevitable and the devotee suffering from imposter syndrome comes to the conclusion that they are a terrible follower and shouldn't ever work with gods without ever realizing that they were going beyond their limits until they finally reach a breaking point.
Breaking points look different to different people but it often leads to a disconnection between the person and their gods.
The gods understand humans have limits and they also know the shadow self influences a lot of how we see them and how we expect ourselves to behave around them including the consequences we give ourselves for not abiding by that, or negative experiences from not having others respect our boundaries.
You are not a terrible follower because it's very common to fall out of relationships with gods, please don't let anyone guilt you into thinking this is a rare and personal problem.
May Fortuna help re-establish and enrich your relationship with the gods and help you find your voice within your own spiritual journey.
Oh Billy, you look so small right there…
