One last post before I’m off to Japan! I found a pretty good quality video of the ‘Attack of the Tree Eating Aliens’ episode and I loved all the expressions they made in this interaction.

Headcanon:

When Chris and Martin transform into magical boys they retain some of the instincts of the animals they’re emulating. Of the two, Chris is more susceptible to give in to the animal instinct which is why he’ll engage in behaviors like

grazing,

gathering nuts,

going for a rotting carcass,

and preening himself

or becoming more nervous when transforming into prey.

Martin on the other hand seems to have more self control and except for the time he coos like a pigeon he is more self possessed than his impressionable baby brother.
