I don't even have a funny caption just look at this
polycule where one guy has an “i can fix him” mindset and another guy has an “i can make him worse” mindset about the same third guy. net zero moral change
Okay but genuinely the way people write miu and kokichi is so strangely fanon? People constantly has miu hating Kokichi, enjoying hurting him, enjoying killing him, etc. yet this has no base in canon beyond them insulting each other? Like yeah they insulted each other but they also heavily schemed together, made plans in secret together, made new inventions together, and when Miu did try to kill Kokichi she’s was constantly apologizing and basically froze up as she kept repeating how she was sorry but she needed to do this and how he should just give up. Their dynamic is infinitely more interesting when you just admit they were friends because then the themes of betrayal in that chapter hit even harder. Miu betrayed Kokichi and it tore her up immensely, she took no pleasure in luring him to the roof.
Kokichi’s story is FILLED with people that in a better place at a better time could have been genuinely close friends to him and Miu is no different. Miu lashing out at Kokichi with malicious glee has never made sense for her character, especially with how often people make it so Kokichi need help with her? It’s weird how fanonized that dynamic became!
“I cannot pretend prochoice vs. prolife is about women versus babies. It isn't. It is about society versus families.
Abortion doesn't save women. It doesn't stop or fix rape. It doesn't end poverty. It doesn't stop domestic violence. It doesn't do anything except undo women's healthy biology, kill her child, and send her right back to whatever circumstances she came from.
Sure, if she just doesn't want to be pregnant, it ends pregnancy. Why doesn't she want to be pregnant though? The replies are along the lines of, "Fuck you. It doesn't matter. It is her choice and right." Ok. Thank you for telling me you care about abortion, not women.
This is what is being offered as the savior for women? This is our freedom? This is our equality? This is the answer we are being offered for children living in poverty, abuse, or neglect? Just pre-emptively guess their fate and kill them? This is what we are being offered as a way to address maternal mortality? Don't attempt to make advancements that address complications that arise in pregnancy, just blame women's biology and kill her kid?
I do not accept that this is the best we can do for women, children, or families. I do not accept that to be free, equal, and safe women have to turn against their biology and their children.”

ok so im thinking about irumatsu post-kaede’s death. everyone, especially shuichi, view kaede as a sort of martyr, a perfect golden girl who did her best to save her classmates and died in the process.
then we have miu. y’know, gorgeous girl genius with a golden brain? who, for all her banter, knows she has issues and flaws? yeah, if you consider the possibility of kaede doing all their FTEs, she was the only person who genuinely believed miu could be better, be kinder, out down her walls.
and that was insane - her? she was already perfect e-fucking-nough, what the hell was this pretentious girl talking about??
…then kaede dies. and it leaves miu feeling a sickness to her stomach, not just because she personally thought it wasn’t fair that such a person would kill and die (although if asked, she would likely say that if kaede got herself killed, it was her own fault and naivety), but because it left unfinished business.
that perfect, golden girl was the only one who thought you could change, really change. now, everyone around you has their own projections of that girl, especially that fucking emo twink (what, because they held hands once? miu held her tits, thats’s GOTTA be worth something more). everyone paints this picture, which you can’t help but look up at and get filled with messy thoughts.
she was wrong about the mastermind, was she wrong about you too? did that reinforce the idea that this is all you’re gonna be? well, fuck that!! you weren’t buying into the bullshit she was talking about anyway! you’re already perfect enough. you’re perfect, period. and you’re gonna do what that girl didn’t do, you’re gonna leave this goddamn school, be it by escaping with a couple other people, or some other mysterious method…
yeah, i’m sure that’ll turn out just fine.
Honestly, Kokichi’s relationship with her goes even deeper. He was the only one who scratched the surface of her because he was so good at reading people. Moreover, he valued Miu’s talent as an inventor enough to trust her with his plans. In a way, they showed their true colours to each other more than they did the others. So, choosing Kokichi as her victim probably wasn’t a painless decision.
i'm kind of unwell about Miu Iruma to be honest. she's a jerk and she says horrible things but she's also a lonely inventor with extreme abandonment issues and actual delusional breaks. she firmly doesn't believe she's human and she assumes everyone's out to destroy her because of it. imagine you go through your whole life like that but you're smart and you can Make Stuff. and then get caught in a killing game and to get out and help humanity you have to nail the dude that everyone hates. Easy Peasy. you set it up to be a perfect plan. but he outsmarts you even at that. another loss for you in a long line of losses. your death is slow and painful and only the kid you called a slur and the other kid you didn't even consider "real" mourn you. i have rabies because of her. i have holes in my fucking brain
