Small Rant?

alright fellas so because I accidentally deleted the old one when the incident where I tried to purge all my stuff on impulse happened, I decided that I’m gonna make a new playlist for fictionfolk to add to, not just the fictionkin community I posted it to this time though!

if you want to be added, DM me and I’ll send you a collaborative link. I only ask that you don’t spread the link because I’m trying to keep track of who is in the playlist and I need to list what usernames go to who in order to do that. This is to prevent raiding, which may seem silly but I have had so many different things raided in the past that I don’t want to risk it.

I won’t make the usernames public, they’ll be kept in a google doc so I can remember who is who. I’ll make the REGULAR playlist link public once it’s got enough to not automatically add songs.

Also, some details about myself I remember are that I was Italian-American on my mom’s side, I’m pretty sure I had blue-green sectoral heterochromia, I had freckles, my hair was curly, and sometime after the second titan war i let it kinda go over my eyes and grow a couple inches shorter than shoulder-length. And I’m pretty sure I had a thick New York accent. Idk if that all will help canonmates recognize me but I hope so!!

Okay wait I just had an epiphany about my role here. Bear with me.

Was thinking about how many of us are demons, demonic, demon related and how funny it was that I’m vibing here amidst all these demons when I’m an exorcist in source.

Then I thought about my demon bf from the canon divergent memories and it clicked like. My best friend in system is a demon and I just vibe with these guys that be struggling with humanity and feeling lovable and I think that’s my role here.

I’m the demon bitches emotional support dog. Lmfao.

Syscourse wasnt this much of a thing back when I had my old tumblr. I’ve been back for like two weeks and I’m already over it. Why so it so hard for people to live and let live?

i won the syscourse brackets. in honour of that, here is the one and only real syscourse take you will ever see on this blog:

syscourse is pointless and brings a net negative to the system/plural community.

the results of this bracket highlight this all too well. you all voted for me, a gimmick blog who doesnt post real syscourse, over dozens of other blogs who do post long, formatted, nuanced takes everyday. why?

because some part of you all knows this is fucking stupid. this roundabout arguing over the same handful of topics, the same formula of bait blogs crashing in and new micro stances developing to pretend like you have new topics. every few weeks a bunch of people leave the tag, and a few more unfortunate people join it. a small number of people have stayed in the tag for years, regurgitating the same old arguments and same old talking points ad nauseum because they cant escape the toxic nature of syscourse despite knowing it harms them and ultimately leads nowhere.

youre all sick of this. and thats not me extrapolating- i watch the tag. nearly every major syscourser whos stuck around has stated they are sick of this and know that 90% of it is pointless and detrimental to their mental state. so i beg the question, why are you all still doing this? a sense of loyalty? a lack of other things to spend your attention on? emotional self harm?

i think its high time we all acknowledge that syscourse never had a point, nor an end goal. its all fabricated discourse founded on intentional misinterpretations of the opposing sides, and catalysted by the high strung emotions of the predominantly underage user base within the tag. you guys arent even pretending you enjoy it anymore. so leave it behind. let the tag die. the system/plural community will reap a great benefit from this utterly useless circular arguing no longer making its verbally violent rounds every few days.

as someone who escaped syscourse and whos sole involvement now is through this gimmick blog i barely touch except to add asks to the queue, i can say from experience: there are better things to do. far more fulfilling connections to be made. and the fomo goes away after like, a week. so let syscourse go.
