Introducing... Cassie Jackson's stardew portrait! Like before, I used this for the base!

This one was a doozy! I couldn't find any of Cassie's main features on the portrait maker (her downturned eyes, wider nose, and longer 4b-ish hair), so I did it myself! I do appreciate there being some different hair textures available, since they made a great reference for the texture and shading!

While it was a challenge, I genuinely enjoyed doing this, partly because I love Cassie as a character, and partly because her design is so different than what I used to draw.

I used to not be good at drawing different features, I really wanted to change that and be more inclusive with my art. With Cassie, I wanted to push myself both with drawing different features and writing a different kind of character! (I don't have many transfem characters, and I need to fix that. Cassie here is mtf, and she hasn't had any hormones or surgeries. I want to be able to properly write the experiences of a transwoman).

So, ramble aside, I am incredibly proud of this portrait!

Ok after quite a while, I made my boi kyle his own sdv portrait!

I used this to have a blank base to build off of. I was originally going to try and just build him using one of the portrait makers, but none of them had anything that I liked for his hair. And the facial hair just didn't work for me lol. So I decided to do it myself :3

I have a little bit of experience making sdv portraits, but I gotta say it's a lot faster when you've got a base and some good references. Pixel art is so fuckin hard man. Like each pixel has to be placed so purposefully, and you don't have a lot of wiggle room with what you're trying to show with those pixels, if that makes sense. I have mad respect for those who do pixel art!

I'll make him some more expressions soon, cause I wanna make an ask blog with him!

(I still have to do some research to figure out just what to do, and I've gotta finish Kyle's refs lol. I also gotta make another portrait for his friend Cassie cause she's important to the story)

lowkey feel there was some voter fraud going on. People were saying it was going to take AT LEAST a week to count all the ballots, yet it was called in a night? and he got all the swing states? something is up and i feel like M*sk did something horrendous. The math for his votes doesn't add up.

First things first, if you voted via absentee ballot you NEED to log onto your voting portal through your Secretary of State's website and make sure your ballot was accepted. This is primarily impacting young voters and people in swing states, but absentee ballots are being incorrectly rejected due to problems with the signatures. If you ballot was not accepted, you should see a pop-up similar to this. Do as the instructions tell you and ensure that your vote is counted!

But to answer your ask, there is absolutely voter fraud going on, and they need to demand an immediate recount. Harris should not concede. I've been following this quite closely as I am about to get a degree in journalism and there are insane levels of bullshit and fuckery happening.

I find it very hard to believe that this is a "record election" yet there are somehow less votes than there were in 2020. Trump won with LESS total votes than he LOST WITH in 2020.

Additionally, there was all sorts of election interference happening, especially in swing states. Ballots were set on fire in several states. Over 3,000 votes in Democrat counties in GA were not sent to voters on time, and the GA Supreme Court rejected an extension, heavily impacting those people's ability to vote.

Russian bomb threats were called into majority Black precincts in various swing states, especially PA and GA, both of which interestingly enough are now red. These polling stations had to be evacuated due to the threats, impacting people's ability to vote. I've already mentioned the issue with the absentee ballots, but now Centre County in PA is saying they are having issues with their ballot scanners and that the mail-in ballot data is "not being recognized when uploaded to the elections software."

I'm not going to lie, I don't have a lot of faith in this situation right now, but I do fully believe that this is bullshit. Something is going on, the math is not mathing, and something needs to be done about it right fucking now.

btw, if you see resources online that could potentially save your life or a friend's life in the future, i.e. info on access to potentially life-saving care for vulnerable groups- SCREENSHOT, print the webpage if you can or back up the file, keep it somewhere safe. slapping a "#saving for future reference" tag on there isn't enough

i'm genuinely not trying to sound like a doomer, data is sooo easy to lose forever with no way to get back.

honestly it's good to get into the habit of saving and backing up almost ANYTHING you wouldn't want to lose on the internet, such as music/videos/art/tutorials, because data can easily be lost forever when you least expect it. but it's especially important at a time like this when people's rights and access to care are in question.

save everything. set up a system that works for you to make saving things easier so you're more likely to do it. flash drives are pretty cheap. veracrypt is a fairly reputable source for password protecting folders if you share a computer or a space with people you don't trust. be mindful of your surroundings and safety. do your own research into sources to make sure they are not coming from people with ill-intentions. if this feels out of your scope, seek out communities that can help you parse it out. the most important tool at our disposal is each other.
