Signed! Wasn't even aware this was a thing O.o I really hope it goes somewhere!
The local queer centrum asked us all to support the ban on conversion therapy in the EU initiative, so now it's My Job to do it seriously.
We still need so many signatures. Damn. So. Many. Signatures.
Come on people, we can do this!!
Sorry not sorry but sometimes I really am done having to put up with mentally ill folks. Like the fuck do you mean you can make fun of my sexual assault and abuse I've faced and then go "whoopsie daisy, it's just my BPD making me do that, teehee" and then when I call them out, I'm the ableist one??? The fuck??
I remember my testosterone information thingy said "may cause you to be angry or more irratable, as well as mood swings" bitch you mean puberty? You mean experiencing human emotions??? Wtf
the idea that testosterone is a dangerous hormone that inherently makes someone domineering and difficult to be around is transphobic all round, leaning on bioessentialism.
for trans men and transmascs, we are warned against medical transition for fear that we may lose our agreeableness and perceived passivity. we are seen as potential aggressors after going on it.
trans woman and transfems have any testosterone in their system, whether on hrt or not, held over them like an original sin that can not be escaped that positions them as more aggressive and dangerous. it is seen as something that threatens their womanhood and can be brought up against them at any time to revoke it.
testosterone is not an evil hormone. it does not change your moral character. it does good for some and bad for others, like any other hormone.
Call me manipulative, but I want someone to reach their hand out to me when I start to walk away.
I want to feel like I'm worth running after. I want to feel like I'm wanted.
God I fucking wish I could get some actual compensation for the harm trans healthcare has done to me, both mentally and physically.
Unfortunately I live in a country where you can't sue a healthcare organization, and if you could, not like I have the money for a lawsuit.
But seriously. How the *fuck* can someone who got top surgery consenually at 21 sue an entire branch of healthcare out of existence(the Keira Bell case), but I can't even get a black and white formal apology for making me disabled, traumatized, and forever underdeveloped(mentally and socially)? And I can't even openly talk about that happening to me y'all scream "they're harmless, they're reversible" like fucking brainless parrots.
Got a little too worked up there at the end but god dammit it's true. Nobody wants to acknowledge my suffering, or just wants to use me as transphobic propaganda without actually caring about me, the person.
It sucks being stuck between people who say that you're suffering is either your own fault, that you should shut up about it because it's harmful to the "positive trans image", and people who will only care about it if you parrot their reactionary propaganda.
Forever hating how a big portion of the internet is inaccessible to me because of some stupid shit I did at 16.... like do these mega tech corps realize how long "forever" is?
I can't have reddit on my phone. When on pc, I can almost never post or comment and hope it goes through the spam filter and automod. Discord is extremely limited to me and I can't participate in any server that requires phone authentication, which are a lot of big (official) servers.
I can already hear people complain "hurr durr, you don't need reddit and discord to survive", but can we at least recognize how fucked up it is to permanently lock people out of such big parts of the internet, especially with no way to appeal? I kinda jokingly sent an appeal for a 4 year old ban recently and they still rejected me, though I doubt a human even looked at it.
On top of that, discord and reddit nowadays are huge sources of information. Yes, they both have their dark and grim sides, but also a lot of information and communication goes through there. And I can't access that ever again because of some stupid shit I did at 16. Tell me that's not censorship and tech corps going on a power trip.
The ground floor apartments in an apartment complex have a vibe to them idk why. They seem cozy for some reason.
Mood for when some childhood staple games(that you once legitimately paid for) don't want to run anymore, and either the company doesn't feel like fixing it because it's not profitable, *or* arguably worse, they broke it on purpose so that you'll play their new games, which are more expensive, require more expensive tech to run, and sometimes even include microtransactions in a paid game??
Would reblog a thousand times if I could
I feel like people forget most trans guys still had to grow up as girls.
We were still forced to be mature early
We were still told to not to take up space
We were still subject to female beauty standards
Our bodies were still treated as inappropriate
We were still pitted against each other
We were still excluded from “male” activities
We were still treated as lesser the boys
Those things don’t evaporate once we transition they’re fucking internalized. I constantly have to remind myself I’m allowed to exist. We don’t stop dealing with misogyny.
No you don’t understand me calling you afab isn’t me calling you female it’s me just referring to an event that happened in your life - where you were assigned female. Don’t question why I never call you a man only a “afab trans person”. I’m not misgendering you and if you think I am then you have internalized transphobia you need to work out.
not to be dramatic but the phrase "putting a bun in the oven" is disgusting. Not only does is objectify and reduce women, but also why are people so afraid of using the real word? Like there's grown adults who say "sex" as by spelling it out while whispering. These people can vote, drive, work a job. It's genuinely weak and disgusting.
Like just..... Sex, pregnant, vagina, uterus. Oh well gee would you look at that, I didn't get raptures out of existence. And neither will you. Just say pregnant instead of reducing women to their wombs and treated said womb as just another object or commodity to be used.
Trans man, 19 years old, on T and post top, stealth in day to day life. This is my blog to post about trans stuff, as well as other queer stuff sometimes.
