For anyone not keeping up, Trump held a rally earlier today, told his supporters to storm the Capitol building with him, then went to hide in the White House.
Protestors tore through 4 layers of barricades and are fighting cops to get into the Capitol building. A possible bomb was spotted and the Madison and Cannon buildings have been evacuated while a bomb squad was called in. And just now the Capitol has gone into lockdown.
But also Pence issued a statement that he is not doing anything with the electors and McConnell denounced Republican senators’ efforts to stop counting the electoral votes.
And as I was writing this, the protesters breached the Capitol and Pence was pulled from the Senate chamber.

If you make more, Pay More! No way a CEO should be paying less taxes then a secretary. You want to hold on to a false sense of privilege then just say that! If your values, that only serves you, mean more then basic human rights, then just say that! If you’re a racist, JUST SAY THAT! But don’t try to fool me or act superior. People shouldn't have to hide in their homes days, maybe weeks after the election in fear of protests in case Biden wins.
The LGBTQ+ community as well as poc shouldn't have to take extra precautions in case Biden wins.
My fucking friend shouldn't be calling me, sobbing her eyes out because she was trying to early vote with her older sister and Trump supporters barricaded them in, trying to hit their car and chase them off when they saw their skin color.
None of us should have to be scared for our fucking lives after the outcome of this election but at this point its 2020 and things were already fucked up once this year has started.
Please, I urge everyone to be SAFE out there when you're voting. People are fucking crazy.

If yall are in Texas, Louisiana, or southern arkansas... or anywhere else that's about to get hammered:
Leave if you can, if not, button up, hunker down, and stay safe. It's gonna get bad. If you're in south Arkansas, this is your first rodeo, and you have not seen winds like you're about to see. Not sustained, at least.
If you want to keep it, take it inside. Trashcans and lawn ornaments will blow away, or worse, cause damage to vehicles and structures. Bring them into a garage or shed if possible.
If you have time, check the trees around your house for limbs that are dead or look likely to fall. As a person who has lived where strong gusts are a thing I can tell you that tree limbs will travel a lot farther than you think in a sustained gale. A lot farther. Find them and, if you have time, pull/cut them down.
Tornadoes are expected. Even without them, winds this high are dangerous. Keep children and pets indoors. Stay indoors yourself. The worst of the winds will be around the eye of the storm, so be extremely wary of sudden calm, as it will be very, very temporary.
Assume that you will lose power. Have flashlights, portae power banks, and candles handy. Have a portable radio on hand for weather broadcasts. Have water stashed away.
If your area has a flash flood warning, move electronics away from the floor, even if you live on a hill.
