In this au Kyojuro is cursed made from demon blood art ruka had the same one that's how she passed away in this au I'll get into how the curse works: the affects it has on the body it can says coughing up blood having a weaker heart getting exhausted easily from even just walking for a while struggling to stand and walk for long periods of time and losing some but not always all of your sight it's not always fatal and when kyojuro or when ruka used to use flame breathing if they overuse it it can leave burn marks (Ruka knew how to do flame breathing also water breathing and was a hashira also created whats known as lava breathing it comes from flame breathing and water breathing she was a tsugoku of Urokodaki and even when she retired because of her curse they remained good friends) back to the au the curse only affects females in this au like how the ubuyashiki curse only affects the males (Btw Kyojuro is transmasc in this au that's how it affects him he also looks exactly like ruka but he has his original eyes and some red strips in his hair and red more femmine) and before ruka passed she left a book on lava and flame breathing explaining alot of it and years later senjuro found it and started to learn how to do lava breathing and became a demon slayer training under his brother and giyuu now to kyojuro he got the curse on his 20th birthday shinbou was the first to find out and was worried but kyojuro insisted he would remain the flame pillar but shinbou was still worried and told him he should tell the other hashira so they could look out for him and help him if needed kyojuro didn't want to worry them but knew shinbou was right and he told them but also told them that he's not defenseless and still can do his job and not to worry about him to much eventually shinjuro found out from obanai because obanai was very worried about kyojuro shinjuro was very mad and yelled at kyojuro to retire and quit being a hashira for his own health but kyojuro insisted he could so it and eventually convinces Shinjuro but that didn't stop shinjuros worry so shinjuro made sure to send letters everyday to make sure kyojuro is alright but will insist its just for senjuros sake (that's all for now I'll make a part two for another of my aus goodbye)
