And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave…
DRAGONSTONE Artwork by Allen Douglas
The First Men and then the Andals both settled the rocky isles of Blackwater Bay, making themselves lords and living by piracy and fishing. The largest of these islands, dominated by the volcanic Dragonmont, would come to be known as Dragonstone.
Two hundred years before the Doom, the Freehold of Valyria sent an expedition to seize Dragonstone and make it the westernmost outpost of its vast empire. The citadel that they raised there to guard their new possession was shaped by Valyrian magic into an imposing structure impossible to create by any other means—with towers shaped like dragons, doorways that gaped like the mouths of dragons, and hundreds of gargoyles adorning the wall, forming a menagerie of fanciful beasts that bristled from the stone.
Twelve years prior to the Doom, Aenar Targaryen moved his kin, treasures, and dragons to Dragonstone after his maiden daughter, Daenys the Dreamer, foretold the destruction of Valyria. The Targaryens thus became the only dragonlords to survive both the Doom and the war-torn years called the Century of Blood that followed. Over that century, the Targaryens looked more to the east than to the west, however, busy with the various machinations and wars between the Free Cities in the aftermath of the Doom.
I promised to protect them. Promised them their enemies would die screaming.

And at my end, I want to die a dragonrider’s death.
Our histories they tell us that Aegon looked across the Blackwater from Dragonstone saw a rich land ripe for the capture. But ambition alone is not what drove him to conquest. It was a dream.
i hate you subscription services. i hate you streaming. i hate you computers that aren’t made to be able to use dvds or cds. i hate you not being able to have anything as your own. i hate you having to endlessly pay for something you should only have to pay for once.
It’s okay to let things go simply because you find they’re not worth your energy. Whether it’s a craft you no longer enjoy, a relationship you’re getting tired of saving on your own or an argument you’ve tried and failed to resolve. Walking away, and knowing when you should, is very valuable.
I love that feeling of like… having alone time but also with someone? You know when you’re in the same room, sitting together on the sofa or the bed, quietly and separately doing your own things. Maybe leaning against each other or softly touching. Sometimes you don’t actually wanna talk but you’re still enjoying the silent presence of that person. There’s a sense of quiet, peaceful comfort.
Humanity.... I see no humanity. How hard is it for one person to just live their life without violence and hate. I may not share the same interests or personal preferences as somebody, but that's what makes us individual people. So good luck to you on your journey through life, I wish you nothing but happiness even if we've never met. But to hate and to wish harm to someone wether it's someone you know or you know nothing about, to willingly and knowingly hate or attack another living being for no reason other than your own ego... is nothing short of the most fundamental primordial evil. As long as this continues humanity will never achieve a state of utopia. If you have the choice to make one person happy or one person sad, and you willingly choose the latter, you are what holds the world back. Choose love. Choose friendship. Choose kindness. Choose to help those who are in need. Let's end this madness. The answer to end all conflicts is not a mystery, it is simple. Compassion. So why... why must we continually live in a world that suffers, when peace is just a single choice away.
There’s no earthly way of knowing Which direction we are going There’s no knowing where we’re rowing Or which way the river’s flowing Is it raining? Is it snowing? Is a hurricane a-blowing? Not a speck of light is showing So the danger must be growing Are the fires of hell a-glowing? Is the grisly reaper mowing? Yes, the danger must be growing ‘Cause the rowers keep on rowing And they’re certainly not showing Any signs that they are slowing!

…and if anyone thinks he has ever touched a bible for anything other than a photo-op, they’re an idiot. I suspect even his evangelical cultists know it, but support him unconditionally anyway, which is what makes them hypocritical garbage.
