I thought since this Zelda lived in the Shiekah golden age, there wouldn't be as much Zonai influence, and we would see the outfits trending more towards modern Hyrule stuff. I also opted to give her Shiekah guards, as this would've been before the movement to drive away the Sheikah and trust would still be strong between the two societies.

With their similar appearance to ganondorf, I thought maybe the origin of the Ancient Hero could be TwinRovas attempt to create a new Ganondorf born of the Zonai who "defeated" him, but they then sealed away when they realized the light in the Ancient Hero's heart.

Their personalities though, are very much based on KamabokoBun's interpretation. The Ancient Hero is goofy and childish, as they were raised in the utmost of peaceful times, whereas Zelda, who is grappling with the return of an ancient evil, is serious, and has no time for trifles in her quest to find the Master Sword.
