Whew!
An animation I've been working on for a while now. Fully colored!
Don't like these wings yet. Need to redesign them for flight.
Oh yeah, this is a Darkstalker design I've been working on. Still needs some details added before it's done but thought I'd share my progress.
This is really good fire actually. It's hard to find good fire. How did you make this it looks great!?!
Haven't drawn fire in quite a while. Kinda forgot how much I do enjoy drawing fire though.
This is a picture of someone's oc!
She so small
ena dream bbq makes me want to get into animation so here’s an attempt at some animation… not great… but like GIMME A SECOND
What's your opinion on Chameleon? (I'm still confused how he learned to read and write when rainwings don't have literature from what I remember, but apparently his handwriting is also horrible.)
Rainwings do indeed not have literature, or a concept of currency or wealth for that matter. But keep in mind that Chameleon was banished from his tribe and spent a significant portion of his life outside the rain forest. Presumably he picked up a rudimentary understanding of how to read while having to live within these new environments.
We don't really know where he went, if I recall correctly--outside of the fact that he eventually wound up in the Sky Kingdom, presumably after Scarlet found him and made him her newest toy.
While thinking about this question, I settled on a personal headcanon that, after he was exiled from the Rain Kingdom, he ended up in the desert at first. Either at the Scorpion Den, or some outlier Sandwing town that went unmentioned in the books (I like to imagine the continent bigger, with a lot of smaller dragon settlements dotted around in every territory in addition to the big ones).
In the desert, unsure of how to subsist in this unfamiliar climate, Chameleon temporarily got roped into the service of some Sandwing merchant who owned the dragon equivalent of a pawn shop/curiosity store. There he was taught enough to be able to read labels and sort merchandise correctly, and figured out the very basics of literacy from that.
As a bonus, this kind of background would also put him into proximity of antique items which might explain how he eventually came into possession of Darkstalker's scroll. It also introduces him to the concept of personal wealth (Sandwings being a particularly mercantile and materialistic tribe) and informs his later obsession with acquiring it. And lastly it tells us how he turned villainous, as being forced to work in retail for long enough will turn even the most patient and virtuous of souls to the brink.
sometimes words are not enough

A favorite series
I truly enjoy how much Animorphs is like “here are our young heroes, each with a distinctive trope to fill in the group!” And then it makes you watch how the pressure of each person’s role grinds them to dust. And also they have homework.
🐺 Happy Halloween 😈
about to drop literally the sickest insider knowledge you will ever receive pls use it responsibly:
are you a teenager? do you wish you had the space & resources & organization to do a thing, whether that's an anime club or a movie night or a big craft workshop or creative writing group or literally whatever? would you like to do your thing totally for free? yes?
okay, then bring it up to a librarian
seriously, teenagers are the absolute hardest group to engage at most libraries & we'll often organize programs that absolutely no one will show up to & it sucks. if you go up to a public librarian & say "hey, some friends & i want to do this thing. does that sound like a feasible teen program for the library?" most people will move heaven & earth to pull it off for you because we know there's an interest in our community. we will go balls to the freaking wall to make it happen
do you want a cosplay contest? a video game tournament? a free escape room? bring it up to the library. it's not a burden or an annoyance at all. it'll be like christmas came early for us
Time for another request: Moonwatcher, suggested by @steve-the-dino! For this one I thought it’d be fun to try drawing Moon in both my retro style and my “normal” style with some of my own WoF headcanons. My style isn’t super consistent, so I took the opportunity to try out some new brushes and techniques.
Retro moon has been simplified a little since the last time I drew her. She no longer has spikes on her head, and the small line of spikes on her tail have been replaced with three large ones. I like to give her the same heart-shaped nose that I give Clearsight, and big, soft eyes. I think in a Bluth movie, she’d be portrayed as introverted, bashful, and kind—perhaps to a fault.
My personal Moon design looks a LOT different. Her colors are far less saturated, and I like to give her a bit of iridescence, as she’s said to be multicolored in the books. I also make the scales on her back very light as if she’s always being washed in moonlight. I like to think that NightWings look otherworldly compared to other tribes, so instead of horns, I give them an alien-looking crest. I think the next time I draw Moon I’m going to give her a lot more purple. A lot of people portray her as green because of the cover, but I think in the books she was described as purple and blue!
In both designs, I give Moon green eyes and bright silver scales. In retro drawings, I’d make her about the same size as the rest of the Jade Winglet, but otherwise I headcanon NightWings being one of the smaller tribes. Moon is bigger than the average NightWing in both height and build, since she grew up in the rainforest instead of on the volcano. Large, round shapes can portray both softness and strength, and while the former certainly applies to Moon, I think she’s physically quite adept as well.
Walk Cycle SPEED RUN¡!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh no the brain rot.
I'm not going to make it out of this one
Hopefully this will turn into an Icicle AMV when I'm done but I have no idea when I'll run out of energy here.
Almost didn't post this as it's just a WIP, but I'm not sure if I'll actually finish this and I like the body segments.
IceWings have a different body shape compared to NightWings. Hard
A WIP I'm working on.
Woodfrog, whom @mrmrsdarklordjrthethird named, is sulking. I'm considering giving her a coat since she may not tolerate the cold as well as normal icewings.
May or not finish it idk I'm working on something else too. I drew her with the intention of potentially animating her movements but idk.
She may become my new angsty character that I get inspired to draw at 3am.
I like Wings of Fire and Cult of The Lamb. I like to animate and I'm still struggling to find my own art style
