ATTENTION TUMBLR!!!

Since I wasn’t able to raise enough money to escape my abusive home and get a new apartment, I’ve had to move back in with my homophobic dad who is legally my guardian through the courts. I am an adult, but he’s had me deemed mentally incapable by a judge, even though this is far from true. He is trying to send me to conversion therapy in the United States, right now it is just threats but I need out before he actually does it. Please help if you can. I need to raise enough for lawyer fees to contest his guardianship (5,000 to start), the move (rent is $1600 altogether because I need first and last months) and food + basic necessities/furniture ($1,000). It’s racial discrimination to treat someone less polite than someone else would be treated in the same circumstances, because of race. We can’t ignore the case of blatant racism. We MUST draw public attention to such cases. We must ensure that racists are identified and socially discredited. There are no reasons or excuses for racism. It’s just disgusting.

If you believe “men hitting women for reasons other self defense” is abuse (which it is) but believe “women beating men for reasons other than self defense” isn’t abuse or vice versa, you just proved you hold a double standard.

If you believe treating females poorly for being female is sexist (which it is) but believe treating males poorly for being male isn’t sexist or vice versa, you just proved you hold a double standard.

Not all character development is positive. Characters can, and in my opinion, should, develop both negative and positive traits throughout the course of their story. As the story goes, they shouldn’t be perfected, they’re people, not artpieces, and so there shouldn’t be a stage where they’ve improved/changed exclusively for the better, to the point where they have no negative traits at all.
