I just recently started reading Gokushufudou: The Way of the House Husband and these two are so great 💕
Though the jokes that "since gay pride month is over, july is now gay wrath month" are funny and all, it's important to remember that July is ACTUALLY Disability Pride Month and y'all should really be focused on boosting disabled voices and issues this month! For instance, the fact that marriage equality doesn't actually truly exist in the United States for disabled people, or the fact that disabled people are forced to live in poverty or lose their disability benefits, or the fact that 1 in 5 people with chronic pain end up sufferring from alcoholism or other addictions, or how accessibility is still a daily battle for all of us, or how there are active hate groups on places like reddit who try to "call out" those they see as "faking" their disabilities.
This July, boost disabled voices. Talk about the issues that our community faces. Call out ableism.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: it’s more important to know and understand fully why something is harmful than it is to drop everything deemed problematic. It’s performative and does nothing. People wonder why nobody has critical thinking skills and this is part of it because no one knows how to simousltansly critique and consume media. You need to use discernment.
a chocbox gift for athenejen, who had the brain size necessary to request wotakoi OT4! 💛💖💙💚
[Image is a digital drawing of Tarou, Narumi, Hirotaka, and Hanako sprawled on the ground in lounge-wear, such that they form a square of connections. Narumi is in an oversized pink sweater and leggings, happily reading a volume of manga with her head pillowed in Tarou’s lap and her feet kicking onto Hirotaka’s legs. Hirotaka is similarly dressed in a blue sweater and track pants, leaning against some cushions and playing placidly on his Switch. His socked feet are nestled gently against the small of Hanako’s back; she’s on her side, in a green t-shirt and casual shorts, perusing a sewing magazine with her feet pressed against Tarou’s and Narumi’s arms. Tarou is on his back, apparently trying to sleep, nudging at Hanako’s leg with a little annoyance on his face at being disturbed by her kicking. His heather grey sweatshirt is riding up on his belly a little.]
finally got my hands on the english wotakoi volume 4 the other day
(image is a two-panel comic of kabakura tarou saying, disgruntled, “otaku these days, it’s all ‘comfort character’ this and ‘comfort character’ that. you know who my comfort character is? MY WIFE.” koyanagi peeks up from the corner of the second panel, smug.)
“but aces are only 1% of the population!”
okay, do you have a friend who:
has green eyes (2% of the world’s population)
has red hair (1-2% of the world’s population)
regularly watches anime (~3.5% of the world’s population)
is vegan (.5-3% of the world’s population)
has a phd (1.1% of the world’s population that has been to university)
knows how to code (.5% of the world’s population)
can dunk a basketball on a regulation sized hoop (1% of the world population)
lives in california (.5% of the world’s population)
the chances are pretty damn good you know someone in an above group. i’ll admit, the numbers aren’t perfect. but just think about it. what are the odds you know someone who is ace?
especially when more and more people are realizing they’re aspec due to more visibility

So, on the night of May 3, a subway fell on top of a highway in Mexico. This was not a terrorist attack, I want to make this very clear since misinformation is being spread online by supporters of our current president. People in the neighborhood had been complaining about the horrible conditions of the infrastructure FOR YEARS. As per usual, our government did nothing. Once again, the Mexican government is complicit in causing the death of several working class people. The imaged being shown on the news are all of working class people still wearing their uniforms, carrying their bags ad they were on their way home after work
As of right now, reports say there are over 70 injured people and 15 deaths. It’s about 1 am at the moment, and several people are still trapped under the rubble and inside the train cars.
I am very well aware of the fact that this is an American centric website, but it is still useful to spread this information in case people have relatives living in Mexico City, as well as to combat the misinformation being spread by the supporters of our current government.
Below, you will be able to find the phone numbers of the hospitals that are receiving the victims of this preventable accident.
And please do not believe everything you read! MORENA, our current ruling political party has blood on their hands and ever since AMLO became president, they’ve done nothing but harm our country while they fill their pockets.
If you want to donate, please be very careful given that people are known to take advantages of tragedies like this to scam people. Proper organizations you can donate to are:

MEXICAN RED CROSS: https://www.cruzrojamexicana.org.mx/
For more information, check the #METRO CDMX and #Linea12 tags on Twitter. Those are the two hashtags people are using to spread information and look for their relatives.
